About the adventure

The dead of Neverwinter are restless. Something has disturbed the ancient graves of Neverdeath Cemetery. The Doomguides charged with tending the city's dead are overwhelmed, old crypts have been breached, and something far worse than ordinary undead has taken root among the tombs... Can you find out the truth before it's too late?

About me

I played DND for a while (since the '90s) and now want to try my hand at the other end of the "table"

What Ravaged-Dragon brings to the table

Expect a story-driven adventure where exploration, roleplay, and combat all matter. I enjoy creating atmospheric games with memorable NPCs, character voices, ambient music, and plenty of opportunities for players to interact with the world around them. I embrace the Rule of Cool and reward creative solutions. The rules give us structure, but I'm always happy to work with a clever idea rather than shutting it down because it isn't exactly what the adventure expected. Combat can be dangerous, but I'm not trying to beat the players—I'm here to make the victories feel earned and the close calls memorable. New and experienced players are equally welcome, and I'll help with rules or character abilities when needed. For Neverdeath, expect gothic atmosphere, mystery, exploration, undead horrors, strange discoveries, and probably at least one thing the party was absolutely not supposed to adopt.

Homebrew rules

I keep homebrew rules light. I generally follow the 2024 D&D rules while embracing the Rule of Cool when a creative idea makes sense and adds to the story. Clever solutions and creative uses of abilities are encouraged. I may make quick rulings during play to keep the game moving rather than stopping the session for an extended rules lookup. If something needs clarification, we'll revisit it after the game. Most importantly: player creativity is welcome, actions have consequences, and sometimes the dice simply have opinions.

Safety

How Ravaged-Dragon creates a safe table

layer comfort comes before the story. Before the game, we'll review any boundaries or topics players would prefer to avoid. I use Lines and Veils and an open-door policy—any player may step away from the game at any time without explanation. I also make my Lines and Veils form available before the game. During play, anyone can pause or redirect a scene if something becomes uncomfortable. No justification is required, and we'll adjust and continue. Neverdeath contains gothic horror themes, including undead creatures, death, graveyards, supernatural horror, and potentially frightening imagery, but the goal is spooky adventure—not making players genuinely uncomfortable. I encourage respectful, collaborative play where everyone gets a chance to participate and no player is made uncomfortable for someone else's entertainment.
