About the adventure
In the darkened forests of the north, our heroes discover a sickness is brewing that threatens the barony. No, the continent; Perhaps the future of the Mundane World itself. - - - - - - Crack The Sun is the first official epic campaign for MCDM's Draw Steel; A five-act campaign that will take our heroes across the timescape. We will start at Level 2, with our heroes playing through the adventure The Dark Heart of The Wood. After that, we'll be diving directly into Crack The Sun! Without spoiling too much, each of the campaign's five acts will encompass a single level of play, with a contained plot that at least partially resolves at the end of the act. Unlike the written adventure, this version of Crack The Sun will take place in my own personal timescape, a campaign setting called "Atrium." The campaign begins in a standard fantasyland, but rapidly becomes Weird; Other worlds, sci-fantasy elements, and more of The Timescape's unique flavor will be central to the story! If that sounds fun to you, you're in the right place. ⚖️ Politics: High 🎭 Roleplaying: Medium 🪖 Tactics: Medium ☀️Other Worlds: At least 2 🪝 Player Hook Each Player Character is headed to Reedhallow, a village on The Great Road. Are you an adventurer, on their way to their next job? A fortune-seeker headed to the city? Or perhaps you have family in Reedhallow (or another village along The Great Road.)

About me
Greetings, traveler. I am Cruxien, an american writer, musician, and game master. I have been running a TTRPG session *at least* once a week since early 2016. I love GMing, especially for new players who are discovering these games for the first time. Should you choose a seat at my table, you can expect: 🔮 Engaging and flexible stories told in my homebrew settings 🔮 🏳️🌈 Queer and Neurodivergent safe sessions 🏳️🌈 📙 Beginner-friendly approach to game rules 📙

Creating your character
During our Session 0, we will discuss character backstories and personalities, player expectations / desires, and walk through character creation in The Codex. Characters will begin at Level 2. If we play a few sessions and you realize you picked the wrong class, that's okay; We can change it up. It is far more important to me that your character sheet is reflecting your vision of the character than being strict.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need: - A mic - A space to play with minimal background noise - A laptop or PC - A Discord account - A copy of The Codex (See "Draw Steel" on Steam) You may want to: - Think about your character ahead of time; At Level 2, your character is already a capital-H "Hero". - Consider if there is a story direction you want said character to go in, or an area you want to explore that I should know about.
What Cruxien, Orange Wizard brings to the table
This game will be hosted in The Codex, and will feature a few of my own original maps as well as the masterful ones from Cze & Peku. I also utilize background music and do character voices, though nobody is required to do the same.
