About the adventure

The colony of Evergreen, close to your flight path, has issued a distress call. Your detachment has been routed to go and assist the colonists against as-yet-unknown assailants. According to your CO, these orders come down from the system-local Union administrator. As much as it’s a pain in the ass, you’ve got to respond; law of the void, though unofficial, says no spacer can let a distress call go unanswered. You don’t know much about the colony world – “Hercynia”, some relic of the Second Committee’s empire-building project – but it must be important if Union wants mech pilots to get involved. A scarred world is about to tell the story of its wounds… This campaign is rife with rigorously challenging combat encounters, opportunity for creative answers to difficult problems, and choice driven storylines. Player actions, relationships with NPCs, and results of combat and narrative scenes all directly affect how the campaign unfolds, so even players that have previously experienced No Room for a Wallflower will have the opportunity for new adventures, fights, and outcomes. Lancer generally takes two forms: technical, challenging combat missions, and open, creativity led roleplay scenes. For the former, I use hex-based tactical battle maps and I adapt the difficulty level to the appetite and capability of the player group. For the latter, I use Theater of the Mind style roleplaying alongside NPC portraits, handouts, regional maps, art scenes, and Clocks. I offer battle animations, sound effects, and the like.

About me

Hi!! My name is Sean. I’m in my mid 20s and I'm passionate about this hobby and plenty of others. I have many years of experience as a game master and player alike. I love almost all games, but LANCER and GURPS hold special spots in my heart. Not big on 5e.

What NewKamaKenpo brings to the table

Expect tactical and engaging combat every session. I will play ambient music in the background and roleplay NPCs during pilot play. I run my games closely to RAW (rules as written) with a mindfulness towards nuance and charitability. My goal as the GM, first and foremost, is for everyone to have fun.

Homebrew rules

Mostly RAW but I have all homebrew listed in Discord.
