About the adventure

In the wasteland of Gehenna, the land itself seeks to steal your life away as the gods lie slumbering beneath the earth. Religous fanatics worship in an attempt to prevent those same gods from ever reawakening again. Human settlements struggle to live on, supported by the dark deeds of their overlords. Fight against the nefarious Spawn, corrupted fragments of humanity that desire only to feast on warm flesh and tear down the only homes humanity have built for itself. To fight these creatures venture down into the ruins of forgotten empires from ages long past. But beware, the monsters that dwell in these dark corners come from those same lost times and have been starving since time immemorial. Find relics left behind that offer you great power at the cost of your sanity. Many have attempted to scavenge whatever they can from these ruins, few have ever returned, none have come back the same as when they left. Will you dive deeper than any before and return with bountiful treasures? Or will you succumb to the Malice of these terrors better left shrouhded in shadow?

About me

Hey there! My name is Octavius and I have been creating stories for almost 10 years! Ever since middle school I have been bringing my friends together to explore fantastical worlds and roleplay passionate scenes. My goal every session is to help tell YOUR character's story and to provide a space where everyone is invested and feels safe enough to express their own creativity and ideas. I love teaching new players and challenging veteran players both. Whether you've been playing since the 80s or you're a first-timer, I believe that every player brings something unique to the table. I believe that character is at the center of every story regardless of the setting or genre. The choices you make and more importantly the consequences both good and bad are the key to unveiling the narrative being told. Whether it be high fantasy adventure, a grimdark dystopian trial of survival, a gritty cyberpunk struggle to become a legend, a low magic scheme to take the throne, a modern day supernatural mystery, or a futuristic space opera, I love to collaborate with my players to create a story you'll never stop thinking about.

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters will need a strong reason as to why they are diving into the ruins and what they hope to find at the bottom of them at any cost. Players make take any inspiration from stories such as Fear and Hunger, Berserk, Vermis, or similar pieces of media. Charactes should be outcasts from society in some way. All sessions and meetings will be handled via Discord. Most content is allowed for character creation.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Have a Discord and Roll20 account made and usable. Once apart of the campaign I will send out a discord server link players may use to join.

What Octavius brings to the table

I try my best to do character voices but I'm by no means a voice actor. I always have music playing that I've picked out beforehand to help with immersion. Most of the time we go by Rules as Written but if a moment is cool, unique, or creative enough I love the opportunity to utilize the Rule of Cool. Immersion is very important to my games so I do my best to make the scenarios as immersive as possible.

How Octavius creates a safe table

Players are always free to message me if a certain scene is making them uncomfortable and before a campaign begins I always make sure to ask about any potentially triggering material or Lines and Veils.
