About the adventure
Acquisitions Incorporated is high fantasy by way of office comedy. Imagine the Fellowship of the Ring insisting they only trekked from nine to five. Think about Conan barbarously assailing his way up the corporate ladder. Or perhaps King Arthur insisting that Excalibur’s real magic lie in brand awareness, or Robin Hood pivoting the Merry Men toward a pyramid scheme. The grand buffet that is an Acquisitions Incorporated campaign features plenty of the exciting locations and high adventure common to all great fantasy campaigns. But an Acq Inc game adds a unique helping of humor and corporate intrigue to the mix, creating a rich narrative familiar to anyone who’s watched an Acquisitions Incorporated livestream game. This adventure touches on a number of classic tropes in its setup and execution. Artifact of incalculable power accidentally stumbled upon? Check. Evil faction with plans to end the world? Got it. But even against potentially world-shattering events and plots, an Acquisitions Incorporated campaign is always centered around humble characters making choices — including one unfortunate Dwarf whose choices have set the adventure in motion. New and experienced players alike are welcome! Enjoy the humor and new mechanics of Penny Arcade's Acquisitions Incorporated with a homebrew story twist.

About me
Hi! My name's Leo and I've been playing DnD since 2nd Edition. I GMed a little with 3rd Edition and picked it back up with 5th Edition. I love the collaborative storytelling that DnD creates, and I'm keen on making the experience enjoyable for new and experienced players alike! I lean to rule-of-cool and slightly comedic games. My opinion is that rules are nice, but they're there to facilitate fun, not dictate it.

Creating your character
We'll create Level 1 characters at session 0 using DnDBeyond with Point Buy/Array. There are additional character options in the Acquisitions Incorporated Sourcebook that can be utilized. If you don't have the Acq Inc book, it (along with other books I have) will be shared in the campaign on DnDBeyond. No homebrew character options or Unearthed Arcana, but most official sourcebooks should be ok!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please have: - A DnDBeyond account (to make a character and use the DnDBeyond VTT) - Discord installed with an account created - A microphone (with headphones ideally - unintentional reverb is no fun) - Optional: A webcam
What Leo brings to the table
My GM style leans to Rule-of-Cool and I like to do voices. I'm not Brennan-Lee-Mulligan-great at improv but I try my best. I also like to include low volume music in the discord, but if it's too distracting we can silence it. The main thing is that we all have fun. We'll be using DnDBeyond VTT for tactical combat.

How Leo creates a safe table
We'll keep things respectful! X, N, O cards can be messaged to me directly, and who sent them won't be divulged to the rest of the group.
