About the adventure
The Theriad is a campaign for adventurers who are looking to do heroic deeds, experience tragic falls, and go on journeys of epic proportions on the plane of Theros! Gather up a party, tell us who you are and we will embark on a journey that will tell your story for ages to come. There are many adventures to be had in Theros, and those adventures are for you to live in our campaign. The campaign will serve as an open-world adventure for the players, while the DM curates an adventure fitting for the characters they make. Are you an oracle of the Goddess Thassa seeing an island's impending doom? Are you a champion of the God Iroas seeking glory on the battlefield? Or perhaps a diplomat of the Goddess Ephara seeking to expand her influence and laws? Then this campaign is right for you and the characters you make. Adventures may span from a series of sessions to a long ongoing epic, and that's for you to decide.

Hello travelers I'm Jemo, a GM from the Philippines with almost 3000 hours (and counting) in roll20, and I have been a game master for five years now (and counting!). I bring my D&D sessions online come to life to make sure that you are immersed and you're experiencing the game with color and life mentally, and audiovisually. I am a very player-centric GM, so you are guaranteed that my players, their stories, and choices are front and center. Creating your character
✨ Character creation will be done during session 0. ✨ Players will be starting at 3rd level and will level up as we go along the campaign. ✨ We will be using the D&D 2024 5e rules in the game. ✨ Players are welcome to use subclasses from both D&D 2024 official sources or third-party sources. ✨ Players will be using the recommended Species of the campaign setting (Centaur, Human, Minotaur, Satyr, or Triton). ✨ Players may use the D&D 2024 Backgrounds as well as pick from the Backgrounds provided by third-party sources. ✨ I will be providing assisting players in creating their character sheets in Roll20 if needed. ✨ Players will roll for their stats, more details provided during Session 0. ✨ Players are highly encouraged to connect their backstories to the setting, NPC's, the gods of the plane, or fellow players to have a personal experience in the campaign.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need: ✉ A Roll20 account (signing up is free) 👾 A Discord account to join the server (signing up is also free) 🎤 A microphone Optional: 📷 Webcam is OPTIONAL, my players can hop into the game with cameras off if it's uncomfortable for them. 🎲 Familiarity with the use of Roll20 is also OPTIONAL; can be taught during session 0 and in play (it's pretty easy to use!) ❌ There is no need for you to purchase anything to prepare for the game! (Except maybe dice, if you love dice so much and want to roll in real time I won't stop you :D).
What Jemo brings to the table
📚 A copy of Mythic Odysseys of Theros book for the table's reference. 🎧 A Discord server with their own private channel for players to communicate both in and off game. 🎲 A Roll20 game room where the sessions will be held. 🎹 A variety of ambient/background music as well as a soundboard to keep the sessions alive audibly. 🎙 My very best in voicing the NPC's for roleplay. 🗺 A variety of maps and tokens that will help the game be more immersive in Roll20. 🙌 Very open to bending the rules to encourage player creativity but also know when to keep things in check. ⚔ Interesting combat and social encounters the will let the PC's shine to use their strengths.
Homebrew rules
📝 If a player wants to do a specific action that may not be within the rules of the game, I will be able to make the player do it if it's within reason after a roll! 📝 Heroic Inspiration isn't limited to just one in our sessions and can be carried over! 📝 PC's will always take the highest amount of HP they can get when levelling up. Additionally, players heal the max amount they can roll with their hit dice during short rests. This is to make things much smoother when levelling up, and makes players last longer in a tough fight.

How Jemo creates a safe table
🖋 Players will be given a pre-session 0 questionnaire where they can provide their Lines and Veils amongst other information that will be useful to run the game as well as a Session 0 Guide. I will also take some time during session 0 to explain other safety tools and details of the game. 🤗 Players can also expect a very respectful and accepting table. Any disrespect of any kind is not allowed. 🎲 I am a GM that loves to see player ingenuity! Don't be afraid to ask if what you'd like to do is possible in the game. 🎭 I love interacting and roleplaying with my players, so they should expect these as an integral part of the game— this is a safe space for people who would love to immerse themselves as their character and get lost in becoming them in the game, silly voice and all!
