About the adventure

Every PF1 player has one: the build you spent hours perfecting, the archetype nobody else wanted to run, the character concept that never found a table. This is where it finally gets played. Hire me to run the PF1 campaign you wish existed. This is a bespoke solo Pathfinder 1e campaign built around your character and the kind of game you want to play. Explore Golarion, adventure in another fantasy setting adapted to Pathfinder, develop an original world with me, or bring me a premise of your own. I’m a published RPG writer and longtime Pathfinder GM, and solo play lets me focus on character, responsive worldbuilding, memorable NPCs, intrigue, horror, exploration, and choices that genuinely change the story. Maybe you’re an Ulfen outlaw fighting a quiet resistance beneath the rule of Irrisen’s White Witches. Maybe you’re an aging scholar who finds a reference to a vanished monastery, forbidden text, or impossible ruin and decides to investigate. Maybe you’re a mercenary, thief, or investigator whose ordinary job opens onto old murders, rival factions, and something much stranger underneath. Solo play means the story can follow your character into the relationships, ambitions, and consequences a group campaign often has to leave at the edges. Or maybe you want sword-and-sorcery, wilderness exploration, political intrigue, supernatural horror, urban crime, domain play, a sandbox, or a character concept that never fit somebody else’s campaign. Those are examples, not packages. You aren’t joining my campaign. We’re building yours. This is asynchronous play-by-post through Discord. I actively GM five days each week, agreed on before the campaign begins. On those days I’ll respond with narration, NPC interaction, investigation, combat, consequences, and rules resolution. Expect roughly 400–600+ words of GM material on an active day when the scene calls for it, with shorter and more frequent exchanges when dialogue or combat works better that way. I won’t pad a three-line NPC response into an essay just to hit a word count. Post when your schedule allows. If life gets busy, we can pause for a week or more, and you won’t be charged for paused weeks. Billing is weekly on Mondays; the listed session time is only the billing point, not a time you need to be online. Before we begin, we’ll talk about your character, setting, themes, campaign style, boundaries, and what you actually want from the game. You can arrive with a fully formed concept or just an idea we develop together. Bring me the character. Bring me the setting. Bring me the campaign you never got to play.

About me

I got into roleplaying games for the thrill of real stakes: a character I cared about could actually die, and something about that possibility made everything else matter more. From there I learned, through years of playing and running, how to fully inhabit a character rather than just pilot one. I run games to build worlds that feel lived-in, whether I’m running for one player or a whole table: NPCs with their own agendas, events that keep moving whether or not the characters are looking at them, and consequences that actually stick. I lean roleplay-forward and character-driven, with a particular love for horror, mystery, danger, difficult choices, and stories where relationships, loyalties, regrets, and ambitions carry as much weight as any dice roll. I run a rules-solid game, but I use the rules in service of the fiction rather than stopping the fiction to admire the rules. If you want a game where your character’s choices and attachments genuinely shape what happens next, come find me.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation happens before play begins and is part of designing the campaign together. We’ll choose a starting level, ability-score method, and character options appropriate to the kind of game you want to play rather than forcing every campaign into the same template. Pathfinder 1e first-party material is broadly available; third-party material, unusual races, templates, gestalt characters, and other nonstandard options can be considered when they fit the campaign. I’m particularly fond of Dreamscarred Press psionics. You can bring me a finished character, an old favorite you’d like to play again, or simply a concept, and I’ll work with you to build or adapt it. We’ll keep your character on a digital sheet, with Myth-Weavers as the default, though another mutually convenient format is fine if you prefer.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Before play begins, you’ll need a Discord account in order to access the private Discord server where the campaign will take place. A computer or mobile device is sufficient; no VTT or special software is required.

What souldiver brings to the table

We’ll use Session 0 to discuss the character you want to play, setting, campaign style, posting expectations, and content boundaries, then finalize your Pathfinder 1e character together. From there, I’ll build the campaign around your choices rather than steer you through a predetermined plot. Expect strong NPCs with their own motives, consequences that carry forward, mysteries and situations you can approach in different ways, and a world that responds to what your character actually does. I enjoy roleplay and character-driven storytelling, but Pathfinder is also a game with a lot of mechanical depth, and I’m happy to use it. Combat can be tactical and dangerous when that suits the campaign, without every encounter existing just to fill an XP budget. I use the rules consistently while leaving room for reasonable rulings and creative solutions rather than turning play into a rules-lawyering exercise. When positioning matters for combat or exploration, I may use a VTT behind the scenes and post screenshots or map images directly into Discord, so you can follow the action without needing to log into a separate virtual tabletop. I’ll also provide setting information, NPC descriptions, handouts, maps, and other campaign material as useful to the story. Most importantly, this is a bespoke campaign. If you want political intrigue, wilderness survival, urban crime, horror, domain building, exploration, high adventure, or some strange combination of them, that becomes part of what I’m designing for you.

Homebrew rules

I don’t use a fixed package of house rules. Any campaign-specific rulings or optional rules will be discussed before play begins.

Safety

How souldiver creates a safe table

Before play begins, we’ll use Session 0 to establish Lines & Veils and talk through the tone of the campaign, including boundaries around violence, horror, romance, sexuality, and any other potentially sensitive material. Mature themes are welcome when appropriate, but anything can be excluded, faded to black, or handled with particular care. Because this is asynchronous play-by-post, there’s no pressure to respond in the moment: you can stop a scene at any time, message me about something that isn’t working, or ask for the tone or content to change. The door remains open throughout the campaign to revisit boundaries as the story develops, and after especially intense scenes I’ll check in when appropriate before moving on.
