About the adventure
Willowshore should be celebrating. Instead, the morning after the Reenactment Festival reveals a hometown transformed by supernatural danger. Familiar places have become threatening, and restless spirits stalk the surrounding countryside. To save the town, you will need to uncover what happened, protect the people you grew up alongside, and confront secrets that have remained buried for generations. Season of Ghosts is a complete Pathfinder 2e campaign set in Tian Xia, taking characters from level 1 through level 12. The story unfolds across four seasons and combines eerie investigation, community focused roleplay, exploration, and tactical combat. Your choices will shape Willowshore, your relationships with its residents, and the town’s chances of surviving what is coming. This campaign is ideal for players who enjoy supernatural mysteries, character driven stories, meaningful relationships with recurring NPCs, and battles where preparation and teamwork matter. Characters should be residents of Willowshore or have a strong personal connection to the community. New Pathfinder players are welcome, and rules guidance will be provided throughout the campaign. The game will be run through Foundry VTT and Discord, with prepared maps, lighting, music, automated character sheets, handouts, and session recaps. The tone will be serious and atmospheric without becoming relentlessly bleak. Expect moments of warmth, humor, and community alongside the horror.

About me
In the modern world of relentless monotony, you might be looking for a Burt!. Not quite an NPC and not quite a PC, but something in between. I’m here to serve as your Boredom Tech Support©, turning a few hours at the table into something immersive, engaging, and memorable. I’ve been running tabletop RPGs for over two decades, building worlds, guiding stories, and helping players step into characters that matter. I focus on games where choices have weight, scenes move with purpose, and the world responds to what you do rather than forcing you down a script. Sometimes that means intense narrative play, sometimes it means open exploration, and sometimes it just means having a damn good time rolling dice with friends. I run everything from classic D&D to Pathfinder to Warhammer 40k Wrath & Glory, and I tailor each game to the group at the table. Whether you’re here for deep roleplay, tactical combat, or a balanced mix of both, my goal is to make sure the session feels complete, coherent, and worth your time. My table is inclusive and welcoming, with a firm expectation of mutual respect. Everyone deserves a space where they can enjoy the shared act of imagination without nonsense getting in the way. In character, things can get strange, dangerous, or intense. Out of character, the table stays calm, friendly, and drama free. When the call to adventure sounds, I’m ready to guide the way. Let the dice roll, the pages turn, and the story unfold. “Knowing where the trap is; that’s the first step in evading it.” Frank Herbert, Dune Maybe, I mess with them for the fun of it. Maybe I don’t. Burt!, the other day No nasty R’s. Rude, racist, or repugnant behavior will not be tolerated at the table.

Creating your character
Characters are created collaboratively, either during Session 0 or with guided support before play begins. Starting level will be stated clearly before the campaign starts. I prioritize characters that fit the setting and have meaningful ties to the world. Optimization is welcome, but coherence and engagement matter more than mechanical perfection. All character sheets will be managed digitally, and I provide guidance throughout the process to keep things moving smoothly.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Characters will begin at level 1 using the Pathfinder 2e Remaster rules. Because this campaign centers on the isolated town of Willowshore, every character should be a resident of the town or have a strong personal connection to it. You might be a local craftsperson, hunter, guard, scholar, farmer, spiritual practitioner, merchant, or someone who recently returned home. We will finalize characters together before the first full session. I will help new players with ancestry, heritage, background, class, equipment, and Foundry setup. Premade characters can also be provided for anyone who would rather begin with a ready-to-play option. Common character options are broadly available. Uncommon and rare options require approval so that they fit the campaign’s setting and themes. Evil characters, characters who refuse to cooperate with the group, and concepts with no reason to protect Willowshore are not suitable for this campaign. Characters will be created and maintained in Foundry VTT. Players should read the spoiler-free Season of Ghosts Player’s Guide before finalizing their character. We will establish personal connections to Willowshore, its residents, and the other party members during Session 0.
What Burt! brings to the table
Burt!, will provide a prepared Foundry VTT campaign with maps, tokens, dynamic lighting, music, ambient sound, handouts, automated character sheets, and rules references. Players will also receive access to campaign information, character creation guidance, and session recaps through Discord. My games emphasize meaningful choices, clear encounter information, and a balance between roleplay, investigation, exploration, and tactical combat. NPCs respond to the party’s decisions, and Willowshore will change as the campaign progresses. Combat will follow the Pathfinder 2e rules closely, with an emphasis on teamwork, positioning, preparation, and creative problem-solving. I will explain unfamiliar rules when they arise and help new players understand their options without playing their characters for them. The campaign will maintain a serious supernatural-horror atmosphere while leaving room for humor, friendship, celebration, and quieter character moments. The goal is tension and investment, not constant misery.
