2E Conversion Rise of the Runelords [Beginner/LGBQT+ Friendly]
The town of Sandpoint has seen it's fair share of trouble. Surely a festival can change their run of bad luck, right?

About the adventure
One of the classic adventure paths from the early days of Pathfinder, Rise of the Runelords is an adventure path that combines plenty of mystery, intrigue, and dungeon crawling! Whether you're an experienced player, or brand new, this AP has something for everyone. This game is a conversion from Pathfinder 1st Edition to Pathfinder 2nd Edition that has been done all by the GM running this game, Kyle S. Any and all are free to play with no judgement as this AP starts the players from humble beginnings to heroes that inspire stories!

About me
I've been a GM for 18 years now starting with DnD 3.5, then DnD 4e, DnD 5e, Pathfinder 1e and now Pathfinder 2e. I've played multiple sessions with various games for the last 20+ years. I'm a fairly laid back GM open to many things as long as there is discussion had with the group to determine the style of game being ran!
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
Character creation is hopefully simple. Have 2 or 3 character ideas mostly ready to go just in case someone else may have the same idea that you came up with (which isn't a bad thing!) or find some synergy with with. I'm a big proponent of playing what you want and not trying to fill a specific role, but if you want to fill a role, that's fine by me. Creation rules are as follows: - Ancestral Paragon - Free Archetype - Gradual Ability Boosts As for backstory, you don't need to worry about creating a novel about your character. Just a paragraph or two to give a sense of who they are is perfectly fine.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
If you can familiarize yourself with both Discord and Foundry VTT, that'll make things easier. You don't need to be proficient in both, as I have no problem with people new to both. But if you have no experience, please feel free to watch some YouTube videos so that you know what questions to ask to help you learn more effectively!
What Kyle Steinwand brings to the table
I will provide a Discord Server in which we can talk about things over the course of the week before the next session, as well as getting to know each other more. We'll also use Discord for the voice chat during the game. A webcam isn't necessary, but it would be useful as I like to gauge the mood of the session by the reactions of the players. The only other piece of advice is please show up a few minutes early so that we can get the most out of our sessions together!
Homebrew rules
There are a few that I use, but nothing game breaking or needing explanations for. They're just simple little hacks to make things flow better and not feel like we're wasting time.

Safety
How Kyle Steinwand creates a safe table
I have no issues with safety tools, as I hope any and everyone at my tables feel safe, inviting, and welcomed into. Any limits will be discussed before the first dice get rolled, so that we can all be aware of any of those limits. If there are any issues once the game starts, I am always available to talk about those issues so that we can focus on having fun and not feeling like anyone is being forced to feel like they're being ignored.
