About the adventure

College Greymore is a wizard school roleplaying game set in 1912, during the last few years of the Belle Epoque. Play as young wizards in their mid teens beginning their studies for the first time. Its safe to say that if your character fits into Harry Potter, then with a few trivial alterations it will fit here as well. Custom made RPG system based on d6 dice pooling similar to Alien RPG. No reading of rules required to play, everything you need to know will be learned as we play during the first few sessions. Game consists of attending classes to learn skills and spells, adventuring with friends, uncovering mysteries that should have been left dormant, arriving late to exams without any knowledge of the subject matter, getting killed or worse, expelled, losing the housecup by a longshot, only to have the headmaster award 100 points in the very last minute, completely overturning the results, and maybe, just maybe, graduating at the end of it all with your body and mind still relatively intact. First 2 sessions are free. Any games where we don't have at least 3 players at the table are also refunded, even if we end up playing with 2. Finally, if you did not have fun at the table and would like to leave the campaign, last session is also refunded. Its possible to listen in on a game before joining.

About me

Hey, its Spock! But with a hat and a tommy gun! Don't worry, I'm not going to shoot you. Have a seat and pour yourself a drink. Ice cubes in the bucket. Sheesh, Its hot out there, isn't it? Now imagine wearing a suit! But enough small talk, let's get down to business. You want to play a game? I'm your man! I got all kinds of games. Fantasy, science fiction, film noir detective, occult world war 2 setting, star wars spoof, I even got that retro creepypasta game that's all the rage this summer, the one with TV Odessey that nobody can remember except you and your mates. Heck, I might even host a game for trekkies someday. The main attraction though is an epic magic school campaign that I've been working on for about 6 years straight. Its basically Harry Potter but I changed the school's name and characters because I don't want to get sued. If that's your cup of tea, then check out my listings! If none of the times work for you or if you want to play something else, send me a message of what you want and when you want it. Bring your friends if you have any. If not, I can try find some for you. One-shots and mini-campaigns are on the house! Also session 0 & 1 for campaigns, as they can be a bit of a chore, although I always try my best to make them interesting. I think we covered everything there, so beam me a message if interested! But don't wait around, we haven't got long, with the world ending and all. I should know, I'm a time traveler! Cheers, Spocko

Character creation

Creating your character

So, you're going to magic school? Well, don't get too excited. The journey ahead is long and slow and bureaucratic. First, you'll have to get all your paperwork in order. Your name, date and address of birth, a list of your close and distant relatives, friends and acquaintances, previous schools and tutors, mundane or magical, any known blood curses running through your family, your criminal record and finally as requested on form 507, any connections to foreign individuals or institutions, financial or otherwise. Done already? Then, you'll need to have your photograph taken, and in colour, send it as an attachment…… And now for the hard part:You are strongly advised to obtain the following items: - A wand - Writing implements - Notebooks - Standard Alchemy Set - A month's supply of Candles - A backpack, briefcase or satchel - A flight capable enchanted broom As well as the following books, as requested by Professor Mandrake, Professor Nightshade, Professor Newland, Professor Snakebark and Professor Blackjack. - First Aid Witchcraft by H. Dorsett - Livre D'étude Pour Les Petits Sorciers by P. Rochefort - Basic Alchemy Volumes II, III, IV, V, VII and VIII by C. Crawford - Magic of Flowers by B. Paulson - Defense against the elements by M. M. Gardiner - Magical Architecture by J. Noir Should you fail to obtain these items prior to departure, the merchant street of Greywood, a small town mere 2 miles from school grounds should have them on offer and at an affordable price. You need not pack provisions or clothes. Daily meals and clean uniforms will be provided by the College. Done packing? Already? Then say farewell to your family, friends and servants, you won't be seeing them for awhile. Wait, what's that furry thing under your coat? Don't you know bringing pets to a school is against regulations? Sure, your ferret may look innocent and cute, but have you for one second thought about the chaos and mayhem that little critter could unleash if left unattended? Well if you insist on bringing the cursed thing with you, at least teach it some manners! No, there is no flying carriage to pick you up. Have another look at your letter of invitation. It came with clear instructions on how to get to Greymore. Its a short walk of a couple dozen miles to the town east of you. From there, take the midnight mailcoach to the coast, board the ocean liner and after a week's journey you're already in France! Now cross the channel with the ferry from Le Havre and take the next train from Dover to the London Rail Hub. From there, take the train to Coventry, then Birmingham, then Manchester, then Sheffield, then take the train to Leeds and finally the train to Glasgow, the capital of magic! Now you just have to find the magical portal hidden somewhere in the mundane side of the railway station to take you to the magic trains so you can board the Greymore Express and complete your journey. What? You're letter didn't mention anything about a secret portal? Oh well...
