About the adventure

A darkness has fallen across the lands, driving some to madness. Huddled around sacred bonfires, your home settlement is about to face its greatest challenge. Disillusioned community members have called out to She Who Feasts on the Rising Sun, and she is answering. Its too late to stop the call, all you can do is prepare for It. Venture forth into the lands outside the protection of the bonfire and into a land that does not want you there. Survive its dangers long enough to find symbols of hope needed for a grand ritual which will help defeat the monstrosity approaching. And decide what you will sacrifice for one more day. Horrors lurk in the darkness, but the light can also be found. Not all hope is lost. The world can turn around, if it can just survive long enough to see that day.

About me

Trans Woman approaching 40 at the speed of time. TTRPGs have been a major part of my life for well over 25 years now and most of that time has been spent in the DMs chair. I'm a huge believer in collaborative world building and a world that feels alive. I'm in training to be a therapist, so safety at the table is something I prioritise. This is especially important with the horror themes I love including. I'm a lifelong horror fan, and the key is giving enough to let your imagination run wild, rather than going for shock value. As well as building and releasing tension. Theres a reason some of the best horror films have moments of humour scattered through out and I love building that sense of dread along side the comfort of the group to lean on.

Creating your character

During session 0 we will go over character creation to ensure everyone has connections with each other and the setting. Players will be able to use Hope and Fear classes as well as the core book classes, if they have access to the material.

What EldrichTea brings to the table

As a lifelong horror lover, I focus on disquieting dread, subtle wrongness, psychological terror and the feeling that something in the world is profoundly off. I prefer descriptions that leave room for your mind to fill in the blanks. Collaborative world building. In session 0 and beyond, we will flesh out the world we will be exploring so the focus is where you want it.

Safety

How EldrichTea creates a safe table

I am training to be a Therapist so I understand just how important communication is for safety. I always have open DMs for any issues that come up in games, whether your comfortable raising it in front of others or not. I keep a living consent form for my games that can be updated as we go without question. While this is a game about monsters doing monstrous things, that does not mean we must dwell on them. I like to have check ins and outs at the beginning and end of a game, a small space to air any feelings so everyone is on board and understand where each other is at. Some times life happens and your boundaries change going into a session.
