About the adventure

The year is 1944. In a desperate ploy to end the Second World War, an elite team of vampire commandos are airdropped into Nazi-occupied Paris with one goal: kill Adolf Hitler and drink all of his blood. This is a rules-light, action-packed romp through Paris where you control a group of vampires each with their own unique strengths and abilities, go on a wild road trip across the city, and kill literal hundreds of Nazis along the way. Setup takes less than an hour and the game can be played from start to finish in 2-3 sessions. If you want a simple, gory, ridiculous action movie experience without any long-term commitment, this might be the game for you!

About me

Hi! I'm a long-time player of D&D 5e on both sides of the screen, but have recently begun branching out into other tabletop RPGs. I'm a voice actor, musician, writer, and all-around foolish dreamer looking to tell the greatest stories ever told. I became a GM because I believe that I was put on this planet to tell stories. It doesn't matter where those stories come from, I believe that every story deserves to be told, and with a little bit of help, I believe those stories can become the stuff of legends.

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters are pre-made and will have character sheets provided at the beginning of the game. Players will each pick a character of their choice to play as for the duration of the game. Session 0 will mostly be a time to explain how the rules work and divvy up the character sheets, as well as answer any other questions or concerns present.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

A microphone and Discord will be required for this game, as will a free account with Owlbear Rodeo. Webcams are not necessary if you would rather not be seen during the game, but voice chat will be utilized. Owlbear Rodeo will be used as the VTT, mainly to provide ambient music, but a battlemap and dice-rolling tool are present as well.

What Bryson (VP Breesone) brings to the table

I will provide character sheets for each of the characters. As far as extra accessory things go, I typically utilize music to set the tone of the situation. There won't be a battlemap or anything of the kind, but I will try and set up some visuals to give the players an idea of what enemies are present and what mission objectives are around. Other than that, it will mostly be Theater of the Mind.

Safety

How Bryson (VP Breesone) creates a safe table

I will provide a checklist of subject matter before the game for everyone to fill out, just to set expectations of the game to come. During the game, there will be one 5-10 minute break halfway through to take stock of how everyone is doing. This is not a typical tabletop RPG experience. Everything is fairly loose and open-ended, with plenty of wiggle room for creative thinking. In the most basic of terms, it's an excuse to tell a story about a bunch of vampires tearing Nazis in half for 2+ hours with some occasional added dice rolling. It's very light on rules and very heavy on collaborative storytelling. Each player will get a chance to narrate the story from their own point of view, and it may be a bit strange at first, but the overall point is to have fun!
