About the adventure

Welcome to the piss-stained, gun-smoked world of Frontier Scum, where the West ain't won, and the good die broke. The rotten town of Perdition ain't so much of a town; it's a death sentence with a saloon. You ain't heroes, you ain't legends—you're the scum stuck to the underbelly of a world that’s long since left you for dead. But tonight, you’ve got a chance to make something of yourself, even if it’s just a name carved into the dirt beside the railroad tracks. It all starts when the Organ Rail rolls into town—a train that don’t stop for anyone, except maybe the desperate souls who’ve got nowhere else to go. Maybe you’ve been shackled and thrown aboard like cattle, or maybe you’re here to meet someone who’s bound to the rails themselves. Either way, the train’s headed somewhere—and it’s a long, bumpy ride. By the time the last car rolls into the night, you’ll have fought, lied, and bled your way through things that might leave you scarred, but no one’s ever walked away from the Organ Rail without a price to pay. So, pull on your boots, pack your grit, and make your move—because the only way to survive this rail is to stay on the right side of the tracks. There ain't no happy endings, only last words.

About me

"Grab a hot drink, a seat around the fire, and listen to my cowboy song." "Comfortable? Good! Now, before we get started, I want you all to know that I tell my tales for your enjoyment and pleasure... so please respect each other and don't enter this area if you desire to cause another harm. If someone's pain is your objective or entertains you... You won't make it past the opening credits of our story." [About me: Having been in (often teaching) the Arts for over 25 years, I really enjoy teaching, and I understand how and love to foster creativity in players!] --Experienced GM/DM/ST for roughly 35 years. I have professionally run hundreds of games over multiple systems. In that time, I have learned that it is the players' story and I am just here to facilitate that experience and make it run smoothly and be as entertaining as possible. I see game rules as a way to keep on track and involved...I never let them get in the way of creativity or the group's enjoyment! I came to StartPlaying looking to run some serious and/or seriously fun sessions. My story telling style is light and flows easy. I do not let the mechanics detract from the experience, but use them to enhance the story you want to be told! Teaching new systems to new players is an experience I enjoy. We were all new players, or new to a system at one time...and without kind and proper guidance we probably wouldn't still be involved in this amazing pastime! Roll well and see ya around!

Safety

How DuChampion (JJ) creates a safe table

This will be an open door game, if you need to take a break, for any reason, please do so!! All I ask, is if you can, please mute your mic so I know you are out. -Any use of "out of character" Racism, Sexism, or Discrimination or Personal Attacks of any kind will get you banned. -Players who do these things repeatedly "in character" are discouraged/warned/and subject to being (quickly) kicked or banned. -If you do not follow the “Fade to Black” rule you will be kicked or banned. **Fade to Black Rule** During the game, if there is ever an event, situation, or anything that as a player makes you feel Please say “Fade to Black” (same as N card although sometimes I don't see the chat right away)and that scene will end. I will not ask, I will not judge, I will take control and respect this choice. No story is worth paining someone!
