About the adventure

"Five years ago, a thousand ships answered Agamemnon's call and departed Greece to bring about Ilium's ruin. The greatest heroes, the mightiest weapons, and the most mythical stories are somewhere else. You are among who remains. I am Homer, and I will sing of you, among Other Names." You are not a hero. Not yet. Perhaps you never will be. Perhaps...you are only the ones who will rewrite the Fate of others. Set in a fabled Age of Rhapsody — paying homage to the Bronze Age, Greek tragedy and comedy, and classical myth — Echoes of Fate is a homebrew Campaign Frame for Daggerheart exploring lies and prophecies, the making of myths, and what it costs to cut the threads of destiny. • The gods are present but distracted. You can draw their eye and bring greatness unto yourself...or ruin. Or maybe you're drawn to the Mysteries instead, and discover inner truths and lies about the world you think you've known? • No prophecy protects you: your choices ripple outward as Echoes that write the setting itself, and can end up altering even canon myths...or the course of the war itself. • All stories are welcome: this table is LGBTQ+ friendly! • Are you new to tabletop, Daggerheart, or Greek myth? Perfect — this table is also beginner-friendly. • No Classics degree required, just curiosity. If you are a fan of myth retellings such as EPIC: the Musical, A Thousand Ships, The Song of Achilles, come sit by the fire and let's write our own epic!

About me

I like my games how I like my tea: hot, honest, and better with company. And like my tea, I take my worldbuilding steeped in history. I've been playing and discovering worlds for fifteen years now, care to join me for your next adventure? I'm an Italian GM, bilingual in English and Italian, with EU & US-friendly playing times (benefits of being a night owl!) "The first maps were story maps" has stuck with me since my first books on cartography — the one that started it all was Homer's Odyssey — and it's become something of a mantra, both as a player and as a GM: a tabletop session is a story, after all, and the world it's set in shapes, and is shaped by, the people living in it. I started as a player on narrative-focused forum RPGs before joining my first Pathfinder 1e session and having the immense luck of living an adventure from level 1 to level 20, mythic tiers included. Since then I've run long campaigns mainly in Pathfinder, D&D 5e, and Daggerheart, with detours into everything from horror to pulp along the way. I've sat behind the screen for seven lucky years now, and nobody's complained yet.

Character creation

Creating your character

We'll start at Level 1! You will be provided with the full Campaign Frame, which will explain you how ancestries and communities work in the setting, and give you a general idea on the setting, gods and magic. Both the core manual and Hope & Fear are available, and I can share my copies if necessary. Do you have ideas? A concept you're unsure of? Questions about the setting? Come to player onboarding (either via voice or text on Discord is totally fine!) and let's create your character! If needed, I also have a handful of (very lovingly created) pre-generated characters you can use. We'll mainly play through Discord, with some Foundry VTT support for maps and combat. I also host backup character sheets on my Demiplane so you can access them outside the game.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Have a read through the setting and just come to Session 0 with questions or a couple of concepts! You will need a Discord account and we'll play on a Discord channel, with Foundry VTT support - which doesn't need any download, just a reliable internet connection. I usually host character sheets on my Demiplane account as backups, and you will be given a pdf as well for archiving.

What sixter brings to the table

Your story will matter, and I don't mind long backgrounds as long as they are on the narrative side. Tell me about who your character cares for and what are his goals. If you want to continue roleplaying or discovering things, I'm happy to keep the narration going through written sessions or stories. I will strive to do character voices and mannerism and I take care in describing the world around you so you can immerse yourself. Sometimes I use music and ambience! And if you want your character drawn instead of using AI, just say so! :)

Homebrew rules

I prefer one Avoid Death per character. Massive damage (triple the Severe Damage threshold) inflicts an additional HP.

Safety

How sixter creates a safe table

I prefer to be honest in advance: Echoes of Fate draws from real life in addition to myth. Slavery was present in Ancient Greece, as was mysogyny, war and violence. You will be able to challenge these in-game through your character, or ask me to avoid mentioning them and I will do my best to do so. I will provide a survey regarding triggers, veils and lines so that we are all comfortable playing. X/N/O cards are private messages on Discord or, if we're doing a scene together, you can just say X Card / N Card / O Card.
