About the adventure
Faced with the threat of war to their west, Xhorhas was blindsided by the power growing just on the other side of the Penumbra Range. Those who have been sent to investigate the goings on in Blightshore have not returned and now the Bright Queen's attention has been split between two looming threats. Players will start at level 3 and advance until the campaign's end. Expect darker tones, political intrigue, challenging mystery and puzzles, and danger around every corner. This long-term campaign will be beginner to intermediate friendly with opportunities to flesh out character backstories and explore how character decisions influence the world around them.

About me
What’s up everyone, my name is Brandon. I’ve been putting dragons in these here dungeons for roughly 4 years and recently decided to try my hand at being a professional DM here on StartPlaying. My main goal during the game is to tell a story, one that is created by and for the players. I want to be the catalyst at our tables that helps to guide the players towards making true friendships that last beyond the game. I’m proud of the campaigns that I run, some of which are homebrewed in the world of Critical Role’s Exandria, and that pride comes out in the rich story-telling, vibrant world settings, and immersive NPCs that I create Outside of creating unforgettable experiences at the table, I am an artist, a profound lover of the entire Lord of the Rings series, and have an obsession with cats. I enjoy cooking and playing guitar, and will gladly talk your ear off about Star Wars. I bring descriptive settings and combat, character voices, a balance between rule of cool and rules as written, and aspiration to maximize immersion.
Homebrew rules
I have a full list of homebrew rules listed in my Discord server, but a few examples include: Natural 20s on attack rolls will result in double damage after a normal roll, including modifiers. For example, if your weapon does 2d6+4 damage, a critical hit will be calculated as 2(2d6+4) as opposed to 4d6+4
