About the adventure
For a thousand years, the people of Valloren survived behind sacred sanctuaries, cut off from one another after their goddess gave her life to save the world. Now those sanctuaries stand open once more. Beyond their walls lies a land filled with forgotten kingdoms, ancient wonders, and mysteries untouched for centuries. But something else has awakened. A mysterious force, Shadowblight, creeps across the wilderness, despair spreads between isolated settlements, and the hope that once united the world is beginning to fade. You are among the few willing to answer the call. Travel across a continent no one has truly seen for generations. Restore lost sanctuaries, recover the scattered Soul Echoes of the fallen goddess Aurelia, and uncover the forgotten history of a world struggling to heal before darkness claims it once again. Every road you choose, every mystery you unravel, and every sanctuary you restore brings the world one step closer to salvation. This campaign is about: • Exploring a vast wilderness filled with forgotten mysteries and ancient civilizations • Restoring sanctuaries and bringing hope back to isolated communities • Recovering the Soul Echoes needed to resurrect a fallen goddess • Making meaningful choices that shape the future of Valloren Hope won’t return on its own. Someone has to go looking for it.

Meet the Game Master
About me
Matt here! I fell in love with tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs) playing Dungeons & Dragons in 1989. I was eight years old, over at my friend's house, and their older brother ran the game. Though the game only lasted three weeks, I was hooked on the story, world-building, and absolute joy of the game. However, I couldn't find anyone to run e-games or be a Game Master. So, I accepted that role and turned as many friends I could into players, then began turning any players I could find into friends. My first love is the story and characters, and combat keeps it interesting. For a long time, a company called White Wolf made my favorite games. I ran those for years and gave up on D&D because most people I found at the time liked the rules more than the story, and I could never find people who enjoyed both. Then, Critical Role brought everyone out of the woodwork! After watching their streams along with Relics and Rarities, I started to explore D&D games again. And I couldn't be happier about this! About a year ago, I started making steps to turn my 30 years of experience and passion for D&D into a full-time, sustainable career. In one year, I found terrific players and, by the grace of God, have been able to become a full-time storyteller in the TTRPG space. See you at the table! I hope you will join the games and make amazing friends as we battle and work through fantasy life together.

Creating your character
We will create characters for this fun world together through our session 0, and add our own touches and ideas to the setting.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will be using Discord and a platform called Streamyard in order to make private recordings of each session so that players can listen and review if they would like.
What Matt brings to the table
I run energetic, welcoming tables focused on collaborative storytelling, cinematic encounters, and strong spotlight balance. Expect character voices, ambient music, flavorful worldbuilding, and encounters that reward creativity just as much as tactics. I’m a full-time professional GM with 2000+ sessions run, known for immersive campaigns, stable long-term groups, and tables where players quickly feel at home. I will provide the main Daggerheart rules through Demiplane.
