About me

Hey there, just your average ttrpg obsessed geek. I've been gming for coming up to 9 years for multiple groups. I love fantasy, it's my jam, getting immersed in the fantastical worlds, seeing PCs interact and and shape the world over the adventure, it's just great. I have played with players of varying levels of experience, including introducing a number of people to the hobby and I love talking with people who are passionate about it. I've played a number of systems as a player, my experience as a gm are with D&D 5e, PF2e, Legend In the Mist, Shadowdark, and Tales of the Valiant. A few systems I'm very excited to try out soon Dragonbane, The One Ring 2e, Draw Steel!, and DC20. I'm always up for learning new and interesting systems. See you next game.

Character creation

Creating your character

Players will create their characters before the first session. Players are free to create their characters on their own or with GM assistance. The game will use free archetype and ancestry paragon. Any official sources are acceptable, but please confirm for rare options. Players may also use any battlezoo content. Characters are created directly in Foundry.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players need a mic and discord for voice chat. An account on the https://www.sqyre.app/ will be needed as well. Foundry works best when used on a desktop or laptop.

What Sam brings to the table

The game will be played using the official modules on Foundry, bringing about a beautiful play experience. In addition, additional modules and Pathbuilder files are available for any player interested in playing something from Battlezoo. Battlezoo is 3rd party content that incldues new amazing playable races such as evil eyes, intelligent weapons, gargoyles, and other strange creatures. It also includes two new classes, the eldamon trainer and elemental avatar.

Homebrew rules

We are using Keeley's Hero Point rules, adding +10 on rolls of 10 or lower when using a hero point. All Battlezoo content is available and we are using Free Archetype and Ancestry Paragon.

Safety

How Sam creates a safe table

In a session 0 I like to go over a brief introduction of all the players. I always want to make sure that everyone is comfortable and enjoys the game. I can provide a list of potential topics that can be an issue for players who would like one. Players are a team and are all here to enjoy the game together, a mutual respect between all players is expected.
