About the adventure
The long reaching arm of the Terra-born (humans) has finally placed a finger on the sand-covered planet of Oster, arriving with industry and a new order. The indigenous Kinkari have fought against Alada Corp, for nearly two orbits, and they've just landed their best blow. But Santiago Alada seems to be hellbent on draining this planet of its resources, and he's got deep pockets. The choices are yours. What you do here will shape the fate of the rim. Try not to die. ABOUT THE GAME: A Space-Western Sandbox, set in the edge of known space. You can expect plenty of roleplay and engaging stories, all mixed into some dark and terrifying dungeon crawls. The campaign is straight off the vibes of Alien Earth and Fallout new Vegas. The story, however, is guided by you. You create your own backstory, goals, and even your own race! Your decisions will change the world around you. The game is going to be run weekly, about 3 hours per session, with a free session 0. DARKSPACE is a science fiction skin to Shadowdark - a grim and challenging OSR game where combat is quick and deadly. You (not your sheet) are your character's saving grace. Creating your character
Character creation is very similar to Shadowdark, but DarkSpace is very open-ended and allows for some really fun and creative choices. We can go over character creation at session 0, but here's what I'd ask: 1) Races can be either human, robot, or dwarf. We're going with a space western vibe here, so aliens are super rare. (1-2 per party). 2) Please arrive with some idea of who you want to be / what your goals are.
