About the adventure

Based on the Daggerheart campaign frame setting of Five Banners Burning, but with heavy inspiration from Dimension 20’s pilot episode of “Fae and Flowers”. This is meant to be a roleplay heavy, slice of life based campaign where the main cast are participants of a fancy party. This doesn’t mean everyone is nobility- despite the armistice it could very well be that one nation has hired eyes to mingle amongst the waiters to drum up dirt on their rivals. What is your part? Who do you trust? Are you here just to enjoy the hor d’oeuvres? (the play-by-post listing will say it starts at 2am, but I will be considered available for that entire day)

About me

I consider myself just a funny little guy with a distinct love for telling fun little stories. This love for tabletop kind of kicked off when my GM and husband blew me and my entire table away with a 3-year long, weekly DnD5e campaign...that we woke up at 9am for and played for 8 straight hours. Which now seems impossible for the modern adult. We still talk about it YEARS later. I'm also a hobby-level artist and will sometimes draw character portraits for NPCs, or doodle my own battlemaps. I do this for the joy of the game, and don't aim to win any awards for skill level, but at least the passion is there right?! Let's tell some stories together :D

Character creation

Creating your character

We can chat over DMs in discord or in VC to get your character sheet written up, and background tied in with some connections.

The current party

Currently we have: Katia, faun, the Beastbound Ranger (assigned to attend with Hilltop speaker of a god as a reaffirmation of faith); Mortem, infernis, Hedge Witch (personal assistant attending with Polaris archmage); and Meho, giant, the Stalwart Guardian (originally from Hilltop but attending from Jesthaen; bodyguard for an attending noble)

What to expect

Preparing for the session

They will need to join the designated discord server, where we will create their characters and tie ins together.

What Callie S brings to the table

I utilize kenku.fm for ambient music and background sound. As an added bonus because it's through discord voice chat, if musical ambience isn't your favorite thing, you have full control over the volume of the sound and can even mute it if you like.

Safety

How Callie S creates a safe table

At the end of every game, there is a cool down chat that is simply when we discuss our "comments, questions, concerns, and favorite moments." Everyone gets the opportunity to go down that list, and in a judgement free zone have their chance to voice anything that may have come up that we didn't get to talk about during game. I do like to end on a "favorite moment", though, so we can always have at least a positive note to finish off the thought. In session 0, we will discuss possible triggers and things that should be avoided during game. I'll also talk about the X-card, which can be utilized at any point during a game when someone is uncomfortable.
