About the adventure
⛩️The Sunrot Regime⛩️Chinese and Japanese mythology campaign! No premonition could prepare the fen for the trickery and calamity that demons are capable of. Creeping into society from the recesses of the world, wearing humanoid disguises, undermining progress; these beings seek to accelerate an impending doom from within the heart of these prosperous islands before they have the chance to defend themselves. Uphold the remote bastions of civilization against fiendish saboteurs, unmask spirits lurking in both nature and every day life, and learn the truth of just what inevitable fate awaits if the people of the Territories cannot escape it. "The Sunrot Regime" is a long-term campaign set in an overarching homebrew setting. This corner of the world in particular is inspired by the folklore and religion from Chinese and Japanese cultures, thrust into a plot of political turmoil. An apocalypse hand-crafted by malevolent forces, made to emulate a series of media touchstones that allow for characters of any power fantasy to seek out their preferred genre of action. Whether they focus on the threat to cities and settlements or the mass destruction of the natural world. Faction conflicts, taking on leagues of spirits and demons, or seeking out larger 1-on-1 fights against more significant puppet-masters. Navigate cultural diaspora through the lens of those willing to fight for the preservation of the new world!

About me
Hello there! I'm Fitz (they/he), and I have been a GM for about 10 years—4 of those professionally. I run weekly paid games, high concept one-shots, and have built up quite the tight-knit community over at what we like to call "Also Dragons". Most of the campaigns I run take place in an overarching homebrew setting, spanning different genres, corners of the world, and differing types of magic and technology. Together they paint a larger picture, each player adding a brushstroke.
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
Character creation will occur in call, to allow for discussion of potential backstory connections and to allow consistency with the rest of the party. Nothing worse than a player making a character they are passionate about only to find that it's not a good fit for the setting or the group! There are some other details that will be elaborated on in Session Zero and may inform some player choices!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Stable, reliable internet connection and audio quality required. Video preferred but totally optional.
What Fitz♦️🍏Also Dragons brings to the table
I have access to all official content on D&DBeyond, a slew of resources and animated maps/visual references which we will be using via a screensharing VTT method. I prefer this approach as I feel it best emulates an at-the-table feel and reduces the amount of tabs and things for people to keep track of!

How Fitz♦️🍏Also Dragons creates a safe table
Session Zero allows the players to take the floor, ask questions about the setting, make requests for content they would (or would not) like to see. We will get you oriented with the Also Dragons server, discuss house rules and general community dynamic, and go through content-consent checklists to gauge levels of comfortability with subject matter that may (but will likely not) arise.
