About the adventure
The Sands Have Waited Thousands of Years... Now They Await You. The ancient kingdom of Osirion is stirring. Beneath endless dunes lie forgotten cities, cursed tombs, immortal pharaohs, and treasures untouched since the Age of Destiny. For the first time in generations, the necropolis of Wati has opened its sealed districts to adventurers through the famed Lottery of the Tombs. What begins as a chance to earn wealth and renown quickly becomes something far greater. Ancient powers awaken, rival expeditions race for lost secrets, and a conspiracy threatens to reshape the fate of an entire nation. The deeper you delve, the more you discover that some doors were sealed for very good reasons. Mummy's Mask is Pathfinder's love letter to classic pulp adventures inspired by tales like *The Mummy*, *Indiana Jones*, and *The Mummy Returns*. Expect sprawling dungeons filled with clever puzzles, ingenious traps, deadly curses, forgotten magic, terrifying undead, and mysteries buried beneath centuries of sand. Every expedition rewards curiosity, teamwork, and careful planning as much as bravery. My games go beyond the printed Adventure Path. I expand NPCs into memorable allies and rivals, weave your character's backstory directly into the campaign, and add original side quests, handouts, lore, and encounters that make Osirion feel like a living world rather than a series of dungeons. Your choices matter, your victories have lasting consequences, and your character will have opportunities to become part of the world's history—not just witness it. Combat is tactical and rewarding without overshadowing roleplay. I enjoy giving players meaningful decisions both inside and outside of battle, whether you're deciphering ancient hieroglyphs, negotiating with rival treasure hunters, solving forgotten mysteries, or standing against horrors that have slept for millennia. Exploration is just as important as combat, and clever thinking is often rewarded as much as rolling high. Whether you're an experienced Pathfinder veteran or completely new to First Edition, you're welcome at my table. I enjoy teaching new players, answering questions, and creating an environment where everyone can learn, contribute, and tell an unforgettable story together. We'll begin with a dedicated Session 0 to build characters, establish expectations, and ensure everyone feels comfortable before our journey begins. If you love rich worldbuilding, cinematic storytelling, dangerous dungeons, meaningful roleplay, and the thrill of uncovering secrets that have remained buried for thousands of years, then gather your companions, pack your torch, and prepare to enter the tombs. Some treasures are worth dying for. Others should never be found.

About me
I've been running tabletop roleplaying games for over 10 years and have been a player for more than 15. While most of my experience is with Pathfinder First Edition, I've also spent the last several years running a long-term home campaign using a hybrid of Pathfinder and D&D 5e. My passion lies in creating memorable stories, exciting encounters, and a table where players feel empowered to think creatively. My GM style is flexible and collaborative. I enjoy rewarding clever ideas and embracing the "rule of cool" when it enhances the story. If you can explain what your character is trying to accomplish, I'll work with you to find a fair and fun way to bring it to life. I strive to create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where players can immerse themselves in adventure, roleplay, and the occasional bit of chaos that makes tabletop gaming so memorable. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or brand new to the hobby, my goal is to ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience and leaves the table with stories worth telling. Beyond the game itself, one of the things I cherish most about this hobby is sharing it with others. I've been teaching my 9-year-old son how to play, and I hope to help inspire the next generation of adventurers to discover the same love for storytelling and imagination that has brought so much joy to my own life.

Creating your character
Before the adventure begins, we’ll hold a dedicated Session 0 to set expectations, answer questions, and build characters together. We’ll discuss the themes of Mummy’s Mask, review house rules, ensure everyone is comfortable with tone, and create a party with strong reasons to trust one another as tomb-robbers, scholars, mercenaries, and adventurers of Osirion. This campaign begins at the 1st level in or near the city of Wati, as the Grand Mausoleum opens its long-sealed necropolis districts through the famed Lottery of the Tombs. Your character might be a scholar, explorer, priest, mercenary, treasure hunter, exile, or wanderer drawn to the desert for fortune, knowledge, or redemption. Whatever your past, you must have a reason to risk the cursed sands—and to descend willingly into sealed tombs. Ability Scores: We will use a 6×6 roll grid for ability scores. Roll 4d6, rerolling all 1s, and keep the highest three dice for each result. Fill the grid from left to right and top to bottom until all 36 spaces are complete. Once everyone is finished, choose one complete row, column, or diagonal to use as your six ability scores. For Roll20, use: [[4d6r<1kh3]] [[4d6r<1kh3]] [[4d6r<1kh3]] [[4d6r<1kh3]] [[4d6r<1kh3]] [[4d6r<1kh3]] We’ll build the full grid together during Session 0. This game uses Pathfinder 1e. All Paizo-published material is welcome, and I’m generally open to third-party content on a case-by-case basis. If you have an unusual class, archetype, ancestry, or homebrew concept, bring it to Session 0, and we’ll see how it fits the campaign. More important than optimization is creating a character with believable motivations and a reason to endure hardship alongside the party through sand, stone, and the deadliest tombs of Osirion. Mummy’s Mask is a campaign of exploration, ancient mysteries, deadly traps, cursed ruins, and undead horrors. Characters who can adapt, investigate, and survive harsh and unpredictable environments will thrive. Survival skills, Knowledge abilities, perception, healing, crafting, diplomacy, and magical utility are all valuable. As the campaign unfolds, you’ll explore forgotten necropolises, rival treasure-hunting factions, buried temples, and the lingering wrath of long-dead pharaohs. Characters driven by curiosity, ambition, faith, greed, redemption, or the pursuit of forbidden knowledge all fit the tone well. Osirion is an ancient land where history is never truly buried. The people you meet will judge you by your reputation, your actions, and the omens that follow you from the tombs. Religious orders, rival explorers, desert nomads, Osiriani scholars, and tomb delvers all have their own agendas. Alliances shift quickly when gold, relics, and survival are at stake—and the sands hide more eyes than you might expect. Above all, create a character who is ready to step into the unknown, face what should remain buried, and risk everything for what lies beneath the desert.

What LordTank (Sebastian) brings to the table
My goal is to deliver a game that feels like stepping into a living world rather than simply moving from encounter to encounter. I strive to balance immersive roleplay, tactical combat, meaningful exploration, and character-driven storytelling so that every session feels memorable. Here's what you can expect from my table: A premium Roll20 experience** featuring Pro assets, Dynamic Lighting, animated spell effects, immersive maps, handouts, journals, and organized character resources. Voiced NPCs with distinct personalities to help bring the world to life. Ambient music and soundscapes that enhance exploration, tense encounters, and dramatic moments without overwhelming gameplay. High-quality visual handouts, artwork, letters, maps, and props that make discoveries feel tangible. Character-focused storytelling, with your backstory, goals, and relationships woven naturally into the campaign whenever possible. Tactical Pathfinder 1e combat that rewards teamwork, positioning, and creative thinking while remaining fair and challenging. Rule of Cool—within reason. I respect Pathfinder's rules because they create consistency, but I'm always willing to reward clever ideas, cinematic moments, and creative problem-solving when they make the game more exciting. A welcoming environment where new players can learn Pathfinder at their own pace, and veterans can enjoy deeper tactical and narrative opportunities. Above all, I want players to leave each session feeling like they accomplished something meaningful—whether that means surviving a brutal battle, solving an ancient mystery, forging lasting friendships with NPCs, or making a discovery that changes the course of the campaign. My job is to challenge you, surprise you, and help create a story you'll be talking about long after the adventure ends.
Homebrew rules
To keep the game moving and reduce unnecessary bookkeeping, I use a few quality-of-life house rules: Legolas Ammunition Rule: Normal arrows, bolts, bullets, and other standard ammunition are considered plentiful. You are assumed to recover or replenish enough mundane ammunition that it doesn't need to be tracked. Only special ammunition (cold iron, adamantine, silver, alchemical, magical, specialty arrows, etc.) must be counted. Additional house rules and optional systems will be reviewed together during Session 0, ensuring everyone understands how they work before the adventure begins.

How LordTank (Sebastian) creates a safe table
Creating an enjoyable game starts with making sure everyone at the table feels safe, respected, and comfortable. While **Mummy’s Mask** explores themes of ancient curses, undead horrors, tomb exploration, and moral choices tied to wealth, power, and forgotten history, the well-being of my players will always come before the story. We’ll begin with a dedicated **Session 0**, where we’ll discuss the campaign’s tone, themes, content warnings, table etiquette, and expectations. This is also where we’ll establish character connections, review house rules, and ensure everyone is excited about the type of game we’re creating together. If there’s a topic you’d rather avoid or handle differently—such as horror intensity, undead themes, traps, or darker narrative elements—Session 0 is the perfect time to bring it up so we can tailor the experience appropriately. I also maintain an **Open Door Policy**. If you ever need to step away from the table for any reason—whether it’s to take a break, handle something in real life, or because a scene is making you uncomfortable—you never need to ask permission or explain yourself. Your comfort comes first, and you’re always welcome to return whenever you’re ready. Communication doesn’t stop after Session 0. I encourage players to message me privately before, during, or after a session if something isn’t working for them, if they have concerns, or if they’d like to discuss upcoming character moments. I’m always willing to adjust pacing, tone, or content to help ensure everyone continues enjoying the adventure. Mummy’s Mask contains themes that may include: * Undead, mummies, and necromancy * Tombs, burial sites, and disturbed graves * Ancient curses and supernatural afflictions * Traps, dungeon hazards, and potential character death * Moral ambiguity surrounding treasure hunting and relic recovery * Occasional body horror or horror-adjacent imagery * Desert survival hardship and environmental danger My goal is to foster a welcoming, inclusive table where players can immerse themselves in an epic story, take risks, and create memorable moments—knowing their comfort and enjoyment are always a priority.
