About the adventure
You are Delta Green agents. You work for the government, in a shadow agency tasked to investigate horror, supernatural, cosmic anomalies. Protect mankind of things it cannot comprehend. Suffer, lose control, die... or even worse. In 2021, you are a team of rookies sent to Divide County, North Dakota. Social media mentions strange phenomenon taking place around fracking drills over there. Stars in far too great numbers or no stars at all, people growing older or younger in seconds, sounds from under the earth, voices from the past or the future travelling through the air, and more, are reported to Delta Green. Your orders are to understand what is happening and do what you can about it. You have to go in one of the least populated area of the country, far away from any aid or support, to find out what happens in the shadow of the old fracking drills. 🎞️ Inspirations : In the Mouth of Madness, Prince of Madness, Half Life, Dead Space. Huge thanks to Pada for the co-writing of this description !

About me
My online name is Faisselle. It is a type of cheese. I'm a French GM with about 16 years in the hobby, mostly as a GM. I have a background as a history teacher. I love tense, high stakes one-shots and campaigns, where the player's decisions drive the story : all your choices will matter. I am mostly here to humbly offer my experience to anyone willing to try. My main rules are : emotional security and parity ; no oppressive behaviour of any kind ; lots of social themes in my games. And voices. I have played numerous games as a GM, starting with Call of Cthulhu and Little Fears before taking interest in Star Wars Edge of the Empire, Legend of the Five Rings, NightProwler, 3:16, Vampire Dark Age, Spire the City must fall, Quest... I also DM D&D, tweaking it with all these other games experience. I also like to write my own roleplaying games when I have the time. You can find most of them right here : https://faisselle.itch.io/ 👶👶Father of two. 📖 History teacher. ✊Leftist. 🥸 Pro GM. 🔵⚪🔴French and speaking english, so I guess bilingual. 🕛Timezone : GMT +2. So sometimes I do not answer immediately, but I answer everytime. ⛔ I do not use AI, and I expect my players to not use it in any aspect of a game we play. - Bonjour.

Creating your character
We will create a sub-Discord conversation for the group. The players will be provided every document for the game and assistance on my part to create their characters, their backstories, their connections, and elements about the game setting. We will do a Session 0 to explain the rules, a basic lore presentation, and create the characters as a team. The characters will be rookie agents in the year 2021 : the objective is to create a team that will go on an investigation that will reveal more and more weird phenomenons, losing more and more of their humanity in the process. I own the main books of Delta Green, so I can provide extended knowledge on how the game works and how to create a character. I have made numerous cheat sheets so that everyone can understand how the game works and what the setting has to offer. You can take a look at these books if you want : knowing elements of the lore in advance is no big deal. The players should know the basic cheat sheet (it tells them how the base mechanic works) and their character sheet, to help the game flow. If needed, we will make a extended Session 0 with a little game session where the agents will meet, take a liking at each other, and get their orders.
The party will be composed of three to four new agents : during Session 0, you will be provided everything you need to create your character... or a pre-made character, if that suits you better.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
The players should have a Roll20 account. The players will have to create their characters with my help, to learn the basic system of Delta Green (d100 system). I am very bad at visualizing characters without an image, so a non AI image of their characters would be greatly appreciated. All of this will be taken care of on Discord, so the players will have to join a Discord conversation. I also use Watch2gether, a free website, for music, so no need to create an account on it.
What Faisselle brings to the table
I use ambient music on Watch2gether, generally from the real world place I use inspiration for the game. I love roleplay and creating NPCs, making voices or giving them mannerisms. Nobody is a nobody in my games : every single one of the NPCs have a name, a face, a behaviour. My games are often "timed". There is a time limit to accomplish things, and the rest of the world keeps moving around the players. In this case, the phenomenons only gets stranger and stronger, and what is at stakes only grows in importance - in the end, the players could very well end up with too much on their hands. I have played CoC and adjacent games such as Delta Green for many years. I love a good investigation, horror is a very strong aspect of the game, and combat is extremely rare but absolutely deadly. I like to use the rules mostly as written, because I consider that they are here for a reason. I'd rather follow players ideas than bend the rules every time. However, my scenarios are written in a way that allows player agency above all. There is no predetermined ending, no predetermined path, only what the world would logically do and how the players are going to change that - or not. I like characters that are connected to the world : for campaigns, I make a duty to use the characters backstories, and also to give players elements that connect them to the broader setting. In Delta Green, your characters belong in an organisation and also have important NPCs listed on their character sheet. These people will exist and interact with the story, as well as their colleagues and superiors.

How Faisselle creates a safe table
All of my session are, at minimum, with parity : no "men only" table, and if the remaining seats are for women or NB persons, they won't be given to anyone else. Before the campaign , we take time to discuss desires and triggers. I sent to everyone via private message a document that allows to document Lines and Veils. I am the only one to read them all, and then I write the scenario according to every Line and Veil expressed. In Session 0 (written or in vocal) we mostly talk about how to make sure every character has a place in the adventure. I also take care to check of the experience of everybody, to make sure that everyone will be comfortable speaking, expressing themselves... I communicate openly about my own triggers for character backstories. During the game, everyone can use the X Card in the way that is better suited for them (private message, vocal, ping...) no questions asked. We also can discuss any matter at any time, stopping the session to do so. After the session, there is a vocal debriefing to be sure everyone was comfortable, how things can be improved for the next game, if everyone had a good time and wants to go on. I tend to ask questions about every aspect of the game, vocally or by writing them on Discord, so that everyone can answer in their own time, with their own amount of details.
