About the adventure
For months, the city of Karanak has been besieged by violent Regals, and the delta has since become a battlefield. One week ago, a stormform Regal led a harrowing assassination attempt on Tira—Karanak’s Soulcaster, responsible for transforming stone into food for the city. Although the attack failed, it shook morale, revealing just how swiftly the city teeters toward disaster. Across the battlefield, swept up in the conflict between the coalition and Odium’s forces, a group of imprisoned singers who resisted Odium’s call languish in a locked stormshelter. One of these captives—Kethrin, a PC close to swearing the First Ideal—has just escaped, fleeing toward Karanak for help. Meanwhile, General Jathid of Karanak has received word the enemy plans to launch a full-scale attack on the city at midday. When a spy informs him of Kethrin’s escape, he resolves to rescue the singer— and uncover whatever she knows.

About me
I have been playing D&D since 2019 and took on the role of DM for friends in 2020. I have since run multiple campaigns and one shots among various groups, both friends and strangers. I love getting together with a group to tell a story and I love the creative and organizational challenges required of being a DM. I always look to meet those challenges head on in the best way for the players at my table. There's nothing better than a session full of laughter, fun, and maybe a little tension as we build a story and world together. Please have an account created on Roll20 and Demiplane if you have not created them already. You will also need a Discord account.
What Ryan M brings to the table
I will have ambient music playing in the background to help set the scenes. I will also bring the NPCs to life as best I can through distinct mannerisms and voices when possible. I enjoy both the storytelling and combat aspects of TTRPGs and hope to provide compelling aspects of both as we weave our story together.

How Ryan M creates a safe table
I will do everything I can to ensure everyone at the table is comfortable and has fun playing the game. Safety tools like X cards will be available and I will always respect the wishes of a player that is uncomfortable in the moment. I will be use the Deck of Player Safety via Demiplane for any hot button topics that should be avoided. This will be submitted anonymously and will be covered quickly before we start the session.
