About the adventure
This game is for anyone looking to learn or to refresh their knowledge regarding Cyberpunk Red: the lore, the mechanics, and how to play over Discord. We'll cover how to play, how to make a character, what to expect from any given session and go through at least one job to top things off. If you are a first-time DM looking for some experience in how the game is run or if you are playing your first time RPG and looking to learn more, this session will have all the basics you need to go out and confidently roam the streets of Night City!

About me
I have been playing role-playing games for as long as I care to remember (20+ years). I started with Dungeons & Dragons 3rd edition in middle school and found myself enamored with the process of creating not just simple characters doing funny and awesome things, but entire worlds and lifelong memories. I find myself using the term "forever GM" to describe my relationship to tabletop games and I decided to take it to the next level by offering professional services to compliment that passion. I like tabletop games for what they bring out of people: stories, emotions, laughter. Whether it is a one-shot to kill some time or a years long campaign with epic implications, I run the gamut of GMing. It isn't just running the game that interests me. I also enjoy the preparation and the world-building that goes into running games, even smaller ones. In that same vein, I enjoy teaching new systems to new players and helping to create unforgettable moments. So if you are new to the game or an old-timer like me, I think I would have something to offer anyone.

We will make characters during this session that you can then take with you into future games if you wish. We will be using the core rule book for this which I can provide access to.

Preparing for the session
You will need a Discord account at least. I would prefer if you could have access to the core rule book as well, but I can provide access if needs be.
What Brett brings to the table
As this is a learning session for beginners or even first-timers, I am able to provide most of the resources necessary. This is primarily in the form of the Discord channel that I host. Additionally, because this is a learning session there will not be much in terms of actual playing until the end when we test run our characters and try out the active rules. This session is intended to give you enough of a grasp of the rules that you can go forth and find other games to confidently and comfortably play in or even run yourself someday.
