About the adventure

A century ago, a band of brave heroes slayed Death-at-Sunset, a wicked green dragon praying on Redwood Village. They thought the terror ended, but missed Death-at-Sunset's egg. Now hatched and growing fast, the forest rots from the dragonling's poison and those who investigate go missing. They need your help. Death at Sunset is a level 2 dungeon crawl for D&D 2024. Published as the first adventure in Dragon Delves. --- For Your Convenience --- 🔹5 pre-made characters with usage guides. Ready to go. 🔹Handouts, for a smoother experience and clarity. 🔹Maps and art for greater immersion. 🔹A GM specialized in running one-shots. (Look at my reviews.)

About me

Hi👋, I'm Franc, better known as Golvin. I'd like to be your GM. While I mainly run D&D, Call of Cthulhu, and Alien RPG, my real pleasure is trying new modules and systems. (Cowboy Bebop RPG anyone?) Which has led me to a specialization in running one-shots, often including highly detailed handouts, pre-made characters, and other player aids. I also write the Reviews from the Far Reams Substack newsletter, currently focused on helping others get the most out of Call of Cthulhu 7e modules.

Character creation

Creating your character

Use one of 5 pre-made characters or create your own level 2 character. If you make your own, please follow the character creation guidelines below. (Must be completed prior to the session.) --- Character Creation Guidelines --- - Standard Array or Point Buy only. - D&D 2024 PHB only. GM's Note: I provide all content via Roll20. Those wishing to use D&D Beyond may do so as long as I see your rolls in Roll20. (Note: D&D Beyond fails to mark 2024 content as legacy outside of the PHB and DMG.)

What to expect

Preparing for the session

To participate in the game, you will need: ✔️A Roll20* account (free), ✔️A Discord account (free), ✔️A microphone, ✔️A headset or quiet space (i.e. no background noise please). *Roll20 doesn't do well with touch screens.

Safety

How Golvin - One-Shot GM creates a safe table

After joining, players are sent my Line & Veils and ask for theirs in return. Which are then confirmed at the beginning of the session as part of a mini-session 0. During the game, if anything disturbs you, please tell me, leave an "X" in the chat, or privately message me. I will then remove the offending or skip past it. Likewise, if you feel the adventure is going in an unsavory direction but use an "N" instead. I will also check in if I notice anything is off.
