About the adventure
Night City changed a lot from the times of RED. Stood up from the economical crisis and been rebuilt. But yet again it's back to it's grim reality. Not enough jobs, barely livable salaries (if you're lucky), gangs terrorizing the city, corporations fighting for power and influence and a cyberpsycho on every other street corner. In the middle of it? You. Edgerunners. "Headlines of '76" is a player-driven campaign in which I'll make the plot about your characters based on their backstories and directions from you. Unless the whole group agrees to do something different (corpos, gang members etc.), we will be defaulting to the Edgerunners PCs. Here you'll find everything we love about Cyberpunk: creative problem solving, meaningful roleplay, action packed combat, deadly risks, hard choices and resource management. All in the known setting of Night City of the 70s from CDProject Red's game and "Edgerunners" series thanks to available rules from Edgerunners Mission Kit and active homebrewing. Ready for your own story? Then hop on in choomba!

About me
I loved every medium of storytelling since I was a kid (games, books, comics, films, songs even - you name it!), so naturally when I discovered TTRPGs I instantly fell in love with it - and this is what I love the most - telling STORIES! Epic or tragic, funny or serious, there's a place for all of them, as long as they're FUN for ALL who are building them TOGETHER! I've been into TTRPGs since 2017 and begun running D&D 5e in 2018. In 2022 I've picked up Cyberpunk RED and started learning Fabula Ultima in 2024. Since announcement I got interested in Daggerheart and during biggest Polish fantasy convention Pyrkon 2026 I run Daggerheart sessions for attendees as an official Game Master on Duty
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
Most of the character creation will happen during session 0. It will be possible to browse and tinker with some options after session 0 and before the first one. All official options will be available with use of rules from Edgerunners Mission Kit in exception of quickhacking which will follow homebrew rules. After signing up players will gain access to my google drive folder with pdfs of all available options. Unless all players agree to during session 0, no "hardened" (min-maxed) characters.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Before session 0 you'll need accounts on Discord and Roll20 and you'll get access to my Discord server and Roll20 game. Players who already read/played CP:RED will need to read up on Edgerunners Mission Kit (I'll share the pdf). First time players may read Cyberpunk RED: Easy mode but they'll be taught everything as needed. Instead they might need to read some stuff between sessions.
What AceOfSables brings to the table
You can expect my full dedication for the campaign especially in terms of weaving your stories into an interesting narrative. I'll provide amazing story, mood setting descriptions maps, music coherent with a scene, a diverse cast of NPCs with their own motives, personalities and poor voices, problems and combat not always meant to be "fair" but fitting the fiction told. I believe in our directors dice and system rules but when the chairman Rule of Cool interrupts, even they need to listen.
Homebrew rules
First of all, rules from Edgerunners Mission Kit override basic rules. The only modified rule will be about quickhacks. Instead of their availability being based on the Netrunner's rank, they are attacking programs that need to be sourced and installed on the cyberdeck. To accommodate this change a Netrunner during character creation gets a normal quality cyberdeck for free. The rest of the homebrew that may be introduced will take form of options (cyberware, weapons, gear etc.) or be context specific.

How AceOfSables creates a safe table
Before the session 0 my own, expanded version of Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist will be available to fill out. During session 0 I'll talk about established lines and veils based on the Checklists' answers. Throughout the campaign player can publicly or privately request changes to them. During the sessions players have at their disposal an N and X card to use by speaking up, messaging or showing digital card. Additionally there will be a 5-10 minutes long break around the middle of the session. After sessions we'll have a cooldown period during which we can talk about how we're feeling and submit feedback.
