Part mob drama, part noir romance, part fantastical mystery. Explore the realm of the Zog Mother, long lost mushroom Queen of decay, as gangs of her eternal creatures vie for dominance of Marsh Veil. Everyone has secrets. Unearth them for yourself, for political gain, use them as blackmail or bury them with your enemies. Death in the Marsh Veil only means a new life. Character death means a shuffle of key players in power as your body recovers. Build friendships or notoriety with five gangs of Marsh Veil, each entangled in their own shady underground business ventures: -The Cordys - Bodysnatchers, manipulators, repo men. Charismatic quicktalkers. -The Klatch - Organizers, couriers and ensurers. Middle men between the gangs and other organisations. They know who you need. -The Redcaps - Assassins, cleaners and muscle specialists. In charge of fighting rings, stimulant and steroid trade. Who you call when things go SNAFU and people don't budge. -The Woodworms - Alcohol brewers, gambling rings, high life leisure and loan sharks. -Mycah Arcania - Doctors, dealers, drug producers. Able to get you the weird stuff. Pretty much anything you ask for. Choose one of four opening chapters. Each not chosen comes into play in the world as optional quests. -The Inn: "The Jolly Puff" The usual opening to fantasy. A travelling adventurous sporeling returned. Adventurer’s guild style. -The Temple to Zog Religious opening, a chosen one start, Prophetized of Zog Mother to become the new King/Queen/Regent Oyster. - The Brewery: "Fruit's Friend" The monstrous opening. A cursed being whose spore and lineage is to become monstrous. A werecreature, a halfbreed demon, a demigod or child of the night. - The Clinic A mad scientist’s attempt at returning life to a decayed myconid body, a medical marvel, but a work of heresy in the view of the Zog Temple. What will you make of Marsh Veil? -Asynchronous play by post - Write at your own pace. Pay once per week. I guarantee one page of posts per week minimum. No need to apologize for missed days. Message me if you need sessions to be put on hold. I’m very open to prolonged breaks when needed and very happy continuing campaigns at later dates. -Adaptive post length - No limit on a post too short or too long. Writing dialogue can be shorter, writing descriptive scenes can be longer. -Story heavy, little to no mechanics - I run very loose story based games with very few mechanics.
