About the adventure

Welcome to Roshar, the world of the Stormlight Archive. A harsh, rocky planet where the massive Highstorms, as well as hate, honor, and potential have shaped the land and its people. In Bridge 9, players take on the roles of soldiers, scouts, scholars, and bridgemen of Bridge 9 as part of an Alethi expedition sent to investigate ancient ruins recently uncovered by a high storm. Dark, damp chasms. Massive, hungry beasts. Fear and the very real threat of death. In order to endure these dangers, you'll need to band together with the other survivors to find a way home. And maybe you can still find a way to discover secrets lost to the age of the Heralds...

About me

Hey I'm Malcolm. Are you ready for an adventure? ⚔️ 💫 🌩️ 💬 ☠️ 🦀 🔥 👣 🐚 🐉 I am new to GMing but I am a Cosmere veteran. I plan to get my feet wet on the rocky plains of Roshar in preparation for the streets of Scadrial becoming available later this year. Having some limited experience looking through the Mistborn rule set, I am very excited for people to get into it. I've loved my opportunities to create sandbox situations with players. GMing those games has been the most fun I've had with the game yet. I have also played some Pathfinder2e and have a lot of interest in getting into other new systems.

Character creation

Creating your character

You will be part of a large scientific/military expedition party leaving from a war camp on the edge of the Shattered Plains. I will be available to help you create your lvl 1 expedition member with one of the six Heroic Paths (Agent, Envoy, Hunter, Leader, Scholar, Warrior). Once you pick a path, we also need the reason you're along for the trip: - Bridgeman looking to find a way out of captivity - Undercover Listener spy brought along as help - Artifabrian looking to get an edge on the competition - Low-born soldier looking to make a name - Artist looking to sketch new discoveries You can use the starter rules to make your character by hand or you can use Demiplane to fill it out digitally. Once we are done, send me your sheet and I'll create your character in Foundry to be ready for the session start. If you are brand new to the setting and have no clue what these races, terms and places mean a pre-generated character is your best bet and there are several options that will be made available upon signing up.

What to expect
