Once ruled by a single Prince in St. Paul despite the persistent Anarch presence in Minneapolis, the Ivory Tower has lost its hold. The death of Prince Merrain in 2018 and the fall of the Powderhorn Caern in 2021 have sent both cities reeling as Camarilla, Anarch, Hunters, and even Lupines roam the streets, and everyone is hungry for a piece of the spoils. --- "Hunter: the Reckoning" is set in the World of Darkness, a modern-day gothic-punk world much like our own where werewolves, vampires, ghosts, and more are all real. The games focus on storytelling and character development as well as personal, environmental, and political horror. In Hunter, you play the role of a mortal, a human who has or will soon learn the truth and find themselves opposing these overwhelming forces of darkness for the good of mankind. Launching off of canon established in Winter's Teeth and Crimson Thaw, "Twin Cities by Night" chronicles tell the ongoing story of St. Paul and Minneapolis, where Vampires, Werewolves, and Humans walk the streets with their own end goals and motives. While the Camarilla struggles to regain control and establish a new parliament, you find yourself with a surprising amount of freedom... and danger.

About me

πŸ‘‹ Hey! I'm Redmane (Red, Rae, Gabriel) β€” a professional World of Darkness Storyteller from the East Coast USA, now in Oklahoma. I've been fascinated by vampires, werewolves, and things that go bump in the night since childhood, which led me to studying WoD lore and collecting sourcebooks long before I ever ran a game online. My storytelling background stretches back eight years across play-by-post, MMO server events, LARP, and acting troupes before moving into online tabletop in 2021. What started as "I can't find a good WoD game, so I'll run one" turned into a full-time passion. Session fees go directly into maintaining the quality of your experience: Foundry VTT licensing, custom battle maps, licensed music and ambiance packs, professional Discord management, rulebook and supplement purchases, and reliable high-speed internet. Got a question? Want to see what the current party includes? Just message me! This is my full time job, and I have Startplaying open at all times, so I'll be able to get back to you quickly with an answer. Updated 04-15-26

Character creation

Creating your character

World of Darkness games allow players to create their own monsters. Character sheets are created on Foundry, and use the basic character creation guideline from the WoD5 rulebooks. Players may choose a fitting Sea of Time option, and one Loresheet per character.

The current party

"🏰 Twin Cities by Night: Faire Play" is a fantastical Hunter: the Reckoning chronicle based in south Minneapolis, with a particular focus on Tangletown and the Minnesota Renaissance Fairegrounds. There are other things out there than just mortals, undead, and shifters. And as late October rolls around, far too many of them are popping up around places of festivities, imagination, and wanderlust. Some are benign and seeking help, but lack the numbers and firepower to protect what they've built from the Shadow Court. Key locations are likely to include the Twin Cities' fairgrounds, plays, art shows, music festivals, harvest festivals, and of course Tangletown and the Minnesota Renaissance Faire. Playable options focus on Hunters, with Changelings for testing, and others within reason fitting the Renaissance theme.
