About the adventure
Welcome to the first episode of the Dungeon Crawl Classics Organized Play for 2026. Organized play is a series of linked adventures with each episode premiering at a game convention. Players can take their characters from one adventure to the next, possibly with different GMs gaining levels, acquiring items and contributing to a larger story. This first adventure can serve as an introduction to DCC and is perfect for new players. Players with surviving characters may go on to play with a participating GMs (online, conventions, game stores etc.) using the same character used here. You are also welcome to continue the adventure with me as your Dungeon Judge as I will run the 2nd module as soon as it becomes available.

About me
Hi there, my name is Justin, I am a visual artist, comics creator and Dungeon Judge. I've played a ton of systems from TMNT to D&D. I have a preference towards some of the more old school systems, and am primarily looking to run Dungeon Crawl Classics, Mutant Crawl Classics or XCrawl. I've run D&D and DCC for friends and family for over a decade and am just dipping my toes into running games for the public. DCC organized play launches this year (2026), so I'm especially excited to start running some DCC organized play games with you. I am a total acolyte for the system and am happy to teach/welcome new players.

Creating your character
It is not necessary to bring a character to your first Organized Play event; your judge will have pre-gens to hand out for your game. • However, you absolutely may bring character of appropriate level of the scheduled adventure with you to your OP event. • This character should either be a funnel survivor, or a character created for the event. In any case this character should have been generated “According to Crom,”: their six stats should have been generated with 3d6 in order (or a randomizer simulating that roll, which shall be the case for all die rolls described in this document), and their occupation, birth auger, hit points, starting trade goods, any starting money, and starting spells should all have been generated randomly. • Character can be of any alignment. • Character classes, abilities, and spells should all come from the DCC RP Core Book. Check with your judge for exceptions • Clerics may not use canticles. • If your character deviates from any of the above but you want to use them as your starting Organized Play character check in with your judge or the convention event chief.
