About the adventure
The Descent is a massive event in Forgotten Realms lore. One man's greed and lust for power led his entire city to be dragged to hell. Now, whoever said hell, can't be fun, hasn't played the Descent into Avernus. This campaign takes everything that you would expect from a game with this name, a small romp through a city that soon leads to a Mad Max style escapade throughout the first layer of Hell. Fighting both demons and devils to save a city. With no military affiliation to speak of, you do this for the love of the game. This campaign is so grandiose that you can fight not just one, but two seperate Gods. Whilst this campaign does take place in Hell. Make no mistake, there is plenty of room for comedic shenanigans. After all, if we didn't laugh, we'd certainly cry.

Creating your character
Character creation can happen in many ways: 📋 During Session 0 we can build a character together whilst we talk. 🐉 If you have a DNDBeyond sheet we can import it into the system. 📝 If you have a paper sheet I will re-create the character for you. 💪 Characters will be level 1 to start - Point Buy or Standard Array. 📕 Species and Subclasses from these books are permitted: PHB, MPMM, FTD, TCE, XGE, GotG, BMT, Forgotten Realms & The Module ⚡ Spells from all official books (barring Strixhaven) are permitted Creating a highly optimised or Min/Max build is highly discouraged.

Homebrew rules
🎲 Roll Modifiers Unless stated otherwise, any action that adds to a roll must be called before the roll is made. Guidance, Reckless Attack, Kenku Recall, adding Bardic Inspiration to a roll, Standing up, Lucky. - If you are Unsure, ask. 💪 Origin Feats Unless the feat specifies otherwise - Only 1 Origin feat per character. ⚡Circle Casting Regardless of the option, If it stipulates you must contribute a spell slot, then you must contribute a spell of equal or greater level to the casting. 🫕Healing Potions Larger Healing potions can be broken down into smaller potions with an Alchemy Kit.

How Matthew (ItsScottish) creates a safe table
Prior to the session, there will be a Session 0 where we will go over all the things that will come up in the game. I will use this along with your RPG consent sheets to change and alter things as needed. The server has a built in Raise Hand feature if you wish to use it but we also operate an open door policy. If you need to leave for a moment just say - be that to "grab a drink" or "Use the toilet". We have no reason to believe anything else and no questions are asked. You can also messege me in the middle of the session to say and we can move swifly on or just let me know you need to step away. I often sit in the Voice Chat after a game where I can and we can just talk so if you need to bring anything up or discuss it we can. You can also just shoot me a messege ion discord at anytime, even if I'm asleep I'll messege you in the morning.
