About the adventure
You're an edgerunner in Mexico City, 2045. Megacorps own the food, the fuel, even the university that'll own you the day you graduate. The chrome inside you will likely get you killed. The barrio, your block, your people, might keep you alive. This is the Time of the Red somewhere new: same corps, same desperation, just hotter, louder, and with far better food. A bespoke setting within the unexplored side of Cyberpunk in Mexico City. If you know Cyberpunk, you already know how to play, no homework required. If you don't, all you need is a fixer with a job and the nerve to take it. So grab your iron, watch your back, and don't try to survive this city alone.

About me
Hi, my name's Zed, artist, graphic designer and Forever GM with 8 years running under his belt. Originally I started running D&D 5E, like a lot of people in the current TTRPG landscape, ran a few campaigns, decided to switch it up with other systems that had caught my eye, so I went towards Pathfinder 2e, then hopping into Cyberpunk RED and subsequently going from interest in World of Darkness to running a few sessions and left wanting more. My Cyberpunk RED journey proper, after running a small game for my table, was playing in a table hosted through here, so this platform has been in my eye for a while now, two years if I'm not mistaken, and it's been a blast! I would like to give the same opportunity for other players to enjoy the same experience I did, and I'd be honored to be the one to take you there! There's lots of systems that I have in my eye, but regular time constraints and lack of table time keep me to the table I've been with for a while. I have GMed for many different people with different perspectives and experiences, following different themes and settings (one of my tables was run entirely in a personal homebrew world, actually!), so I feel I have a decent handle on giving the right atmosphere for each game I run!
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
Character creation goes pretty much in a regular manner: Complete Package method, standard rules for character gear, outfit and cyberware. Characters start at their Role at Rank 4. If any player wants to start off with more resources like EB or Skill Points, they will incur in the Selling Your Soul mechanic. I will provide access to a Demiplane campaign page to make the character creation process straightforward and accessible, connecting everything into a Roll20 game page. Character creation, setting breifting and general table readout (as in me asking you as players what your expectations are) will take place in the first session. One of the only books I will not refer to at this starting level will be Interface Red Volume 5, considering it ups the danger of any and all combat elements in the game.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You should have a Discord account (as well as the app preferably) with a decently hearable microphone, and a Roll20 and Demiplane account for using the VTT tools. Once you have secured your seat I'll send you an invitation to my own Discord Server and placed in a table group with a private channel for both you and your fellow players.
What Zed Huff brings to the table
I like to give detailed explanations and setting descriptions to help you paint a picture, but I will also take up some visuals to compliment things. Background music and occasional soundboards will also make presence to help get the feel of a scene. Most of my roleplay and general non-combat work will take place in the Theatre of the Mind, still focusing on putting you as players in the scene. Combat will take place on maps.
Homebrew rules
I will use the Edgerunners Mission Kit rules for Humanity Loss and Gain, small and practical adjustments such as not incurring Humanity Loss for reinstalling a piece of chrome that was removed for upgrades, only applying HL to whatever was installed if applicable. Bullet/projectile dodge will not be applicable unless you install chrome specifically for that.

How Zed Huff creates a safe table
A Lines and Veils Document will be provided and will be obligatory for you to be integrated into a table with a player group role. If you join right before the start of the first game session, I will provide a link to a session in a Deck of Player Safety link, sending the L&V document after session. The X,N & O's will be available on the VTT, available for use at the discretion of any player, to be used responsibly.
