About the adventure
If you love Bridgerton, Pride and Prejudice, Regency dramas, and wistful stares and meaningful eye contact across the room, come attend this party! Using the easy to learn Shift RPG system, you and your group of fellow party goers will attend the most important party in the history of Regencia. In a world where clockwork attendants have made manual labor obsolete, there is much more time for leisure, socializing, romance, and gossip. The six noble houses and all of the well to do of Regencia gather tonight for a banquet in the clockwork city of Avalonia, and you and your group have invitations. With everyone who is everyone in attendance, this one night could set the course for the rest of your life. Political maneuvering, scheming, and even scandal and outright crime are sure to feature in this evening of dancing, drinking, feasting, and flirting. What you do while in attendance will shape the world of Regencia when the sun rises. Will you meet your old paramour and struggle between love and social climbing? Will you spread rumors that scuttle a union of families? Will you duel with the scion of a great house? Will you ruthlessly flirt with the most attractive match to secure your seat of power and authority? The gears of fate and intrigue are set in motion. Let's dance! Hello! I'm Jacob, AKA The Infinite Storyteller, or Teller for short. Let me blend game systems, emotional investment, colorful NPCs, exotic locales, and sheer chaos to create the next story you'll tell people about for years. I love to tell stories across settings and systems. I gravitate to tales of the surreal and the cerebral, but I love to tell any sort of story, and the crazier the idea the better. Creating your character
I will have a variety of pre-generated character sheets that players can tweak before or as we get started. If you want to explore a concept or make a character ahead of time, we can handle that through a brief conversation.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
No preparation is needed for this game (besides Session Zero)! We will play on Discord and using the Roll20 website, so accounts in those two apps will be needed. If you have those and show up with a willingness to learn the system and have fun we'll have a great time! If you would like to get ahead on learning the rules I am happy to provide resources for the Shift RPG System.

How Infinite Storyteller (Teller) creates a safe table
Player safety is my top priority when playing a TTRPG. Because this is a game that involves romance, we will have a Session Zero to discuss group guidelines and comfort levels with that aspect of the game. If a player cannot attend that session, I will need a message or document from them outlining their boundaries to ensure we keep everything comfortable. Prior to the game all players will receive a Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist and can return the completed checklist to me to review. We will discuss any concerns players have prior to our one shot. While this is not strictly required it is highly encouraged. During gameplay players can introduce a line or veil either verbally or via DM in real time. This functions as an immediate safety tool if something becomes unexpectedly uncomfortable.
