About the adventure

🌟 The Ultimate Folk-Horror Masterpiece The Setting of Druskenvald: A massive, beautifully eerie, autumn-locked demiplane trapped between life and death. 🎭 15 Haunted Subclasses Every class gets a refreshing, grim theme designed to change how they interact with combat and exploration: Barbarian: Path of the Wendigo – Consume the essence of fallen foes to gain bestial traits, enhanced tracking, and terrifying natural attacks. Bard: College of Requiems – Conduct the music of the dead, manipulating souls on the battlefield to buffer allies or siphon life from enemies. Cleric: Hearth Domain – A cozy yet vital defensive subclass focused on community, magical rest, and fire magic to keep the cold dark at bay. About me

Welcome, Gents, Ladies, Adventurers, Heroes-to-Be! Ahoy, brave souls! Pull up a chair, sharpen your wits, and maybe your swords, because you’re about to step into worlds where steel clashes, magic burns, and choices echo through legend. I’m your GM, and my go-to system is DRAW STEEL β€” fast, cinematic, and heroic, perfect for players who want epic adventures without drowning in rules. Why You’ll Love My Games: Cinematic Action: Battles feel alive, every strike counts, and heroic moments leap off the page (or Discord, or Roll20, wherever we meet). Tactical Fun: Strategy matters, but clever thinking beats number-crunching every time. Accessible & Exciting: New to roleplaying? No problem. DRAW STEEL gets you into the action immediately. Veteran? Prepare to see your favorite adventures in a bold, fresh way. My Style: I mix story, strategy, and stakes with a dash of humor β€” yes, even while your party narrowly survives the latest goblin ambush. Think heroic cinematic fantasy meets old-school excitement: dragons, dungeons, and dramatic choices that make every player feel like a star. I care about party cohesion, teamwork, and moments that make everyone at the table (or screen) laugh, cheer, or groan in disbelief. Whether you’re a first-time adventurer or a seasoned hero who’s walked the Sword Coast a thousand times, my tables are welcoming, fast-paced, and designed for maximum fun. You’ll spend less time learning rules and more time living your hero’s story β€” daring feats, clever tricks, and epic moments included. So, polish your boots, check your potions, and prepare your wits β€” the dice are ready, the story is waiting, and your legend is about to begin. Add me on Discord: gmbear, and let’s draw steel together.

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters will start at level 1 (unless you join late). Use point buy on DDB. You'll have access to everything from this module on DDB to create your character. Additionally you choose 1 of 13 THREADS OF FATE: 1. Thread of Apocalypse: Your character is plagued by fractured memories and ominous visions of a looming catastrophe that threatens to completely unmake the demiplane. 2. Thread of Ascendancy: Driven by a relentless ambition to rise from nothing, your story focuses on claiming ultimate greatness, status, and renown across the valley. 3. Thread of Deliverance: You are on a high-stakes mission to track down and retrieve a long-lost, stolen family relic or powerful ancestral heirloom. 4. Thread of Duality: Your character wrestles with a fractured nature, a literal second personality, or a spiritual entity sharing space inside your physical body. 5. Thread of Evolution: Focuses on a deep, personal quest for magical, physical, or spiritual transformation, often seeking out strange mutations to alter your natural form. 6. Thread of Immortality: You are driven by a deep terror of death or a curse of aging, prompting an obsessive search for the secret to eternal life within the mists. 7. Thread of Kindred: Your journey revolves around blood ties, focusing on finding a lost sibling, reconnecting with estranged family, or uncovering your true lineage. 8. Thread of Liberation: Driven by an absolute necessity to break a community, family member, or yourself out of physical or supernatural bondage. 9. Thread of Malediction: You carry a severe, deeply ingrained supernatural curse or family affliction, and your primary goal is finding the dark cure to break it. 10. Thread of Pilgrimage: You are on a sacred or spiritually mandated journey to locate a legendary, hidden sanctuary or holy site buried deep within the hollow. 11. Thread of Rapture: Your character is infatuated with cosmic secrets or fanatic religious ecstasy, seeking to dissolve into the absolute power of a dark deity. 12. Thread of Rejuvenation: Your character is bound to a quest of spiritual rebirth or healing, actively searching the mists for a legendary ritual to mend a broken soul. 13. Thread of Slaughter: You are a consummate, primal hunter who holds a deep reverence for the art of killing, called forward into the mists by a great spiritual beast.

What GM Ron brings to the table

I provide many years of GMing, a unique take on player agency and house rules (you the players decide on house rules), story telling and many more skills and tricks I learned and developed during my 20 years of GMing.

Homebrew rules

Every player can create 1 house rule they want us to follow. I'll throw in my suggestions as well to make things more exciting and dynamic (better for the players, but still deadly).
