About the adventure
Our mission brings the crew into the heart of Night City to tackle a high-profile extraction job. A deep-cover fixer has hired your team to infiltrate a secure Arasaka research facility within the Corporate Center to recover a ghost chip before it is wiped by corporate security. Getting in is only half the battle; the facility is a fortress, and something has gone wrong deep within its internal systems that threatens everyone inside. This campaign is set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077, taking place entirely within the metropolis of Night City. We will explore the city's distinct districts—ranging from the opulent corporate towers of the City Center and the heavy industry of Santo Domingo, to the dangerous, gang-ridden streets of Watson, Pacifica, and Heywood—as we navigate the high-stakes, technology-driven dystopia that defines the setting. Playstyle: I run a collaborative, high-prep game. I provide the detailed world and the potential threats, but your character’s drives, backstories, and choices steer the plot. Tone: Expect a grim and gritty tone inspired by touchstones like Blade Runner, Neuromancer, and the classic cyberpunk genre. This campaign is designed as a focused 3 to 5-session arc and if the table vibes and the story gains momentum, we can absolutely discuss continuing the campaign further!

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hey I'm Maia (my-ee-uh), a storyteller, actual play producer, and longtime lover of narrative-driven games. I found TTRPGS a few years ago and immediately fell in love with how collaborative, emotional, and unpredictable they can be. I've been GMing ever since-building immersive worlds, guiding personal arcs, and chasing those unforgettable table moments that happen when a group really clicks. In addition to private campaigns, I also create and publish actual plays, both live streamed and edited, on Twitch, YouTube, and podcast platforms. Producing those shows has sharpened my sense of pacing, tone, and scene work, and I bring that same care to every table I run, whether we're recording or just playing for fun privately.

Creating your character
We will hold a dedicated session zero to create characters together, ensuring the team is cohesive and everyone understands the system. You do not need to prepare anything before this meeting, as we will build everything from scratch to fit the game's tone. In Neon City Overdrive, there are no stats or levels in the traditional sense. Instead, we will build your cyberpunk by choosing three defining Trademarks, assigning Edges to them, and determining your character's Flaws and Drives.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Ensure you have an active Discord account, as this is where we will handle all communication, session scheduling, and game organization. I will send out the invite link to our dedicated Discord server once the group is finalized. You do not need to download or install any other specialized software to play.
What Maia (my-ee-uh) brings to the table
I provide a highly organized and immersive experience grounded in years of experience as a game master. You can expect a fully prepared sandbox where the world reacts logically to your decisions. I facilitate a story-first game where rules serve the fiction rather than tactical math, and I prioritize clear, consistent communication to keep the pacing sharp and engaging. While I use the core rules as our foundation, I embrace the Rule of Cool. If you have an imaginative way to approach a challenge that makes sense in the fiction, we will find a way to make the mechanics support it. I'm also a fan of your characters and want to see them shine. I encourage you to use your character's unique strengths to steer the narrative, and I will always aim to incorporate your creative ideas into the world.

How Maia (my-ee-uh) creates a safe table
Before we begin, I will provide a link to an anonymous, shared Google spreadsheet for Lines and Veils. This allows everyone to see boundaries collectively while maintaining privacy. We will review the Lines and Veils document during our session zero to ensure everyone is aligned on expectations and comfort levels. Communication is paramount. If any theme, description, or event does not sit well with you, please do not hesitate to speak up. You are always empowered to voice concerns at any time, whether during play or privately. We always conclude our sessions with a brief check-in to ensure everyone feels good about the direction of the story and their character's experience.
