About the adventure
Farshire University | A Monsterhearts 2 Campaign Farshire University has always attracted unusual students. Some come seeking knowledge. Some come seeking a fresh start. Others arrive because something in the dark called their name. Nestled among rolling hills and centuries-old stone buildings, Farshire appears to be an ordinary university. Beneath the surface, however, secret societies, supernatural politics, ancient mysteries, and dangerous relationships shape campus life. Every dorm room hides secrets. Every student wants something. Every choice has consequences. In this Monsterhearts 2 campaign, you'll play a supernatural young adult struggling to balance classes, friendships, romance, and the monster within. Whether you're a vampire chasing forbidden love, a witch desperate for control, a werewolf fighting your instincts, or something stranger, your character's story will be shaped by the relationships you build and the mistakes you make. This game focuses heavily on: • Character-driven roleplay • Romance and complicated relationships • Supernatural mysteries • Secrets, rivalries, and social drama • LGBTQ+ friendly storytelling • Collaborative worldbuilding • Emotional character growth Farshire is inspired by stories such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Teen Wolf, The Vampire Diaries, Wednesday, and The Magicians, blending supernatural intrigue with the messy reality of growing up. Combat exists, but this is not a combat-focused game. The heart of Monsterhearts lies in relationships, difficult choices, emotional consequences, and discovering who your character becomes when pushed to their limits. ### What to Expect * Approximately 80% roleplay, 15% mystery/investigation, 5% combat * A welcoming and inclusive table * Session Zero for character creation and relationship building * Safety tools including Lines & Veils, X-Card, and Open Door Policy * Opportunities for both dramatic and lighthearted stories At Farshire University, everyone is hiding something. The question is whether your secrets will destroy you—or set you free.

About me
Hello! My name is Kit. I've been a GM for almost 12 years now and I've worked on several different VTT (Virtual Table Top) platforms. I'm a big fan of Pathfinder First Edition but I also enjoy Dnd 5e, Monster Hearts, and Starfinder! I've been fascinated with the worlds and lives you can live through stories, games, and movies. Now with tabletop rpg's you can truly take control and be the hero of your own story. I love to tell stories, and as a DM/GM that's what I get to do. It's not me vs the players. It's the DM guiding the players through their story.

Creating your character
Character Creation Character creation will take place during Session Zero, so no prior experience with Monsterhearts 2 is required. Players will create their characters together using Monsterhearts 2 Skins, establish relationships, assign Strings, and build connections to both Farshire University and one another. This collaborative process helps ensure everyone begins play with meaningful ties to the story. To give players plenty of options, I provide access to a collection of nearly 100 Skins, including official material and a wide variety of well-regarded third-party and community-created content. Whether you want to play something familiar or something truly unique, you'll have plenty of choices available. Players are encouraged to create characters who have a reason to attend Farshire University and who are interested in engaging with the game's themes of relationships, identity, secrets, and personal growth. If you're new to Monsterhearts 2, don't worry—I'll guide you through the entire character creation process and help you find a Skin that matches the kind of story you want to tell.

What Austin brings to the table
What I Provide My games focus on collaborative storytelling, memorable characters, and the relationships that develop between them. Monsterhearts thrives on drama, emotion, secrets, and difficult choices, and that's exactly the kind of experience I aim to create. As your MC (Master of Ceremonies), you can expect: • Distinct NPCs with their own goals, secrets, and personalities • Ambient music and atmosphere to help bring Farshire University to life • A welcoming, LGBTQ+ friendly table where all players are respected • A balance of humor, drama, romance, mystery, and supernatural intrigue • Opportunities for your choices and relationships to shape the direction of the story • Safety tools and clear communication to ensure everyone is comfortable at the table Monsterhearts is a collaborative game, and I believe the best stories emerge when players are given the freedom to make meaningful choices. While I respect the rules and mechanics of the system, I prioritize the fiction first and encourage creative solutions that fit the story being told. Whether you're navigating a messy breakup, uncovering a campus conspiracy, falling in love with the wrong person, or accidentally starting a supernatural disaster, your decisions will matter—and the consequences will follow. At Farshire University, everyone is the protagonist of their own story.
Homebrew rules
Homebrew Rules To better support the style of game we're aiming for at Farshire University, the following house rules will be used: • Volatile Awareness: When perception, awareness, noticing details, or reaction speed becomes important, the **Volatile** stat will be used. Volatile may also be used for initiative when an initiative roll is needed. • Bonus Advancement at Character Creation: During character creation, each player may select **one additional Move** from their Skin at no cost. • Bonus Stat Increase: During character creation, each player gains a +1 bonus to any stat of their choice. This bonus follows normal stat limits unless discussed otherwise. • Collaborative Worldbuilding: Players are encouraged to contribute details about clubs, locations, rumors, NPCs, and student life at Farshire University. If it enriches the story, there's a good chance it becomes canon. • Fiction First: Creative ideas that fit the narrative and themes of the game will generally be favored over strict mechanical interpretations. The story comes first.

How Austin creates a safe table
Safety Monsterhearts explores themes such as relationships, identity, attraction, rejection, peer pressure, emotional conflict, and personal growth. Because these themes can become intense, player comfort and consent are a priority at my table. Before play begins, all players will complete a Lines & Veils survey to establish boundaries and expectations for the campaign. These topics will be reviewed during Session Zero, along with character concepts, themes, and the tone of the game. The following safety tools will be used throughout the campaign: • Lines & Veils • X, N, & O Cards (available digitally through Discord chat or private message) • Open Door Policy — players may step away from the game at any time for any reason • Session Zero discussion covering expectations, boundaries, and player comfort • Regular check-ins throughout the campaign Players are never required to explain why a topic makes them uncomfortable. If a concern is raised, we will adjust the scene and move forward respectfully. My goal is to create a welcoming, inclusive environment where players can explore dramatic stories, complicated relationships, and supernatural themes while feeling safe, respected, and supported.
