About the adventure
"We gather here today to mourn the great doctor Martus Linsley. May he find peace in the after life." Black smoke rose from the crematorium's chimney, mixed in with the gloomy dark clouds forever hung above the city's sky. The slum dwellers stopped on their track to mourn the philanthropist, but the blaring siren from the factories urged them to quicken their pace. "Please help me look into the death of my husband. It... wasn't an accident." Pleaded the widow as she wiped her tears. In her hand was a crude drawing of the crime scene where a ritual circle could be seen. In the shadow of the city, an ancient evil lurked, feeding on the despair of its people. --------------------------------------------------- A roleplay heavy campaign sets in a Victorian era inspired city with steampunk and magic. You are investigators commissioned by a widow to investigate her late husband's dubious death. As you follow the clue trail into the city of Vespin, the many dark cults plaguing its people will reveal themselves. Expect: 🌇 A busy and slightly oppressive setting that reflects its source of inspiration 🔍 Mysteries hidden behind closed doors awaiting to be explored 🎭 Hard choices that will leave lasting consequences ✒️Backstories will be integrated into the setting to further strengthen player's agency and involvement Whether you want to be a noir detective, a savior of the oppressed, or simply just want to punch a bastard, you will find a place at this table.

About me
Greetings all, I'm Herald. Around 9 years ago, a friend invited me to their D&D campaign and it opened up a new world for me... many worlds. Due to the oh-so-familiar circumstance, I became a forever DM shortly after and thoroughly enjoy it, trying out more and more systems since. I love heroic tales of common people standing up against great odds, chosen ones fulfilling their destinies (or defying it if the players feel like it), or even dastard rogues finding their own redemption. All stories have their own charm, and I'm happy to be the artist who paints the stage for yours.

Creating your character
+ Starting level 3 + 2024, but 2014 stuff are fine + Homebrew race and class are fine (go through me first) + Normal starting items or roll for gold, your choice + Standard array for stats or roll twice then pick one + Alignment is whatever, just don't be disruptive + Level up using milestone system
