About the adventure
Welcome, adventurers new and old, to the land of mists. This is a story-first, combat- and roleplay-heavy reinvention of the classic Curse of Strahd. Both veterans and complete beginners are welcome! Experience a gothic horror and dark fantasy campaign, starting from level 1 and learning the game as you play if you are new, and enjoying a fresh take on D&D's best adventure if you are an experienced player. We will work together to define the lines and veils that will shape the game's horror atmosphere and to flesh out the dark realm of Ravenloft. What you can expect: 🩸 A reimagined Barovia. The classic Strahd with fresh surprises and expanded setting (including the new Horrors Within). 🩸 6+ years GMing experience, including a completed three-year Strahd campaign. 🩸 Choices that reshape the valley. Character choices, interesting NPCs, roleplay opportunities, quiet character moments. 🩸 Combat that bites. Meaningful and engaging battles with stakes (pun very much intended). 🩸 Full VTT experience: scenes, battlemaps, handouts... 🩸 Books and character options will be made available (you buy nothing). 🩸 A fun-scary experience you won't forget.

Hola! I am a nerd who loves games and stories. I have been GMing RPGs for more than six years, primarily D&D 5E. I love welcoming new people into the amazing, weird world of role-playing games, trying out new systems, and creating new things. Lately, I have been playing a lot of Daggerheart and the Cosmere RPG—and I can't wait for Mistborn!! I am fluent in Spanish and English, and I am comfortable playing in either. We will create the characters together during session 0. We will use the 2024 rules for Dungeons & Dragons 5E, with expanded options for this setting. We will use D&D Beyond; all you need is a free account.
What to expect
Preparing for the session

🎲 2024 rules, mostly RAW; I rule for the story when it counts. 🎲 Barovia enriched with Ravenloft: The Horrors Within, Fleshing Out Curse of Strahd, and She Is the Ancient; a reimagined cast even veterans won't fully predict. 🎲 Occasional rule of cool in favor of the narrative.
