About the adventure
π Embark on an adventure a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away. π Manage your own personal Podracer, pit team, and skillsets in order to take home the coveted Boonta Cup π½ Over 100 different species' options to play as! π« Play from levels 1 thru 12 with one of ten Star Wars themed classes! π Travel to famous planets throughout the galaxy - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Pilot the meanest vehicles the galaxy has to offer in high-octane races held on exotic worlds. Build your own Podracer, assemble your loyal pit crew, muster your shady sponsors, and face down your fellow racers and ruthless rivals on the track for credits and fame as you rise from the lowly ranks of amateur trial races all the way up to the Galactic Grand Prix. It's been eight years since Sebulba, Podracing's most notorious champion, met his downfall at Boonta Eve Classic to a young Anakin Skywalker. In the race's wake, Podracing has experienced a new surge of popularity, making its way out of seedy bars in the core worlds and into corporate sponsorship and jumbotrons. Now at the opening of a new Galactic Podracing season for the year 3631 ATC, the galaxy's deadliest sport greets a new and unexpected challenger: you. Inspired by Star Wars Episode 1 Racer, NASCAR Culture, and show touring. Beginner and Learn-to-Play Friendly! Creating your character
This adventure will be played via Roll20, with Discord for Voice. Players are welcome to create characters using Star Wars 5e's own engine, or manually within Roll20's built-in character sheets! * Starting Level: All players start at Level 1. You may create a character sheet either within Star Wars 5e's site, or within Roll20! * Ability Scores: Determine ability scores using the Standard Array (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8) as specified in the Player's Handbook. * The character customization options introduced in D&D's Tasha's Cauldron of Everything to change species' ability scores are allowed. I will also have pre-generated character sheets available from a wide array of backgrounds, classes, and archetypes as well!
Greetings Podracers! Last week was Session 0, but there's one slot left and the first race ahead of us for Session 1 this week (7/9) If you join up, we'll schedule time for a private free Session 0 to onboard you and get you sorted and ready to play!!! ββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ Goals For Session 0: Character Creation Review - We'll go through the Character Creation Steps together; but this is just a good chance to make sure everyone has their choices solidified (and it's a chance to change anything up before we begin gameplay). We'll also roll through the custom rules that are found in Star Wars 5e! Safety Talk - I'll explain the uses and functions of our Safety Cards, Additionally, we can discuss Lines & Veils, Hard Limits, and anything else we want to bring up to keep everyone safe at the table! Establish the Party - Confirm party roles, starting equipment, etc. - Confirm and discuss connections between characters (This is a fun exercise I that I picked up from Monster of the Week, and it's a good chance to get some preemptive character relations started) Roll some dice! We'll get the dice rolling, start learning rules, and get your characters in use with any remaining time!!! ββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββββ -Things You Can Start Thinking About Ahead Of Session 0- + Have a Short-Term Goal in mind! (something you can accomplish in 2 - 4 sessions) + Have a Mid-Term Goal in mind! (something you can accomplish in 4 - 8 sessions) + Have a Long-Term Goal in mind! (something you can accomplish over the course of the campaign) + One Wishlist Item (does not need to be specific, and it could be anything from "I'd love to hide Flamethrower in my Podracer" to "I really liked Boosting in the video game, can I get something to help that?") Anyone who has all four of these ready will start get Inspiration! (for those newer to D&D 5e and its core rules, Inspiration can be spent to give advantage on one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw: or can be spent after a roll to re-roll one die!)
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need an account (free or paid, but free is sufficient) on: - Roll20.net for maps. - Discord, to communicate with the other players and the GMs before and after the session; as well as a microphone for Voice (Video is optional) Basic knowledge of the core D&D 5e mechanics and your character's abilities and features is highly recommended for optimized play time.

How Thom creates a safe table
This campaign has several content warnings and includes some survival elements. These will all be further discussed at Session. Due to these elements, I will be including a Safety and Consent Checklist covering things that may be included as appropriate from the module. These elements may be adapted based on safety concerns. Also note, while this is not a specifically adult themed game, players should be able to handle themes in mature ways. Additionally, I will have Safety Card Tokens available to anonymously Drop on the Map at any point. If a player is uncomfortable with the content for any reason (including phobias, PTSD, and/or many more), Drag and Drop these into the map at any time for a safety pause.
