About the adventure

This campaign is a more relaxed but with darker tones that may not be comfortable with everyone. If you are not ok with such themes, then you may want to move along. This setting is of my own creation and is a sandbox type of world. It is a more modern setting unlike the typical medieval fantasy. You are able to use any module subclass, you just have to show me it beforehand. I love to explore creativity and make a fun experience. I am willing to work with players of all experience, everyone has to start somewhere. Willing to teach the basics, and willing to listen to critiques.

About me

Hello, I am a newer DM with many experiences under other DMs. Both good and bad times. I look forward to making new experiences with different people and open to creating new friendships. Tabletops have been my escape for years and I hope to be able to provide that for others.

Character creation

Creating your character

You can freely interact with me or you can create your character entirely on your own. The general starting level is level 5. Multiclassing is available. You can either use point buy or manual, but if you roll manual, if it ends up too unbalanced, I will ask you to re-roll. You have 3 free re-rolls. You must provide a decent backstory. Enough for me to work with. You are welcome to use whatever subclass, if it’s not in the standard books, please show me for review. If at any point, you do not like your character. Whenever it’s changes to backstory, or the mechanics of the character, please talk to me. As we can either change either and make it more fun of an experience for you.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need to join a discord, upon messaging me, you will receive an invite. This is to ensure I meet you before joining.

What Feral brings to the table

You will be provided a safe environment for all types of people. This is a safe haven for fun and to enjoy yourself. The type of campaign will be a mix of both roleplay and combat. I would appreciate as much interaction as humanly possible with your fellow players. Both in and out of character. I encourage out of character planning and giving clear expectations of group decisions. As your DM you may discuss anything with me, both about the game and if you need someone. Due to life situations and medical, chances of last minute cancellation, pausing in session, or early ends is possible. But because of this, any player is also eligible to express accommodations or any need to pause the session. If there is no pause by a certain point, any player can request for a break to move and use the bathroom and get food. Also if needed to take a second and relax. If at any point I do need to step out, you are welcome to talk amongst the party in or out of character just you will have to inform me on what is said.

Homebrew rules

I am welcome to any homebrew that anyone wants to suggest. First ruling is the standard potion drinking is a bonus to roll, taking a full action to drink automatically grants full health. You do not need a special feature to have an animal companion.

How Feral creates a safe table

Utilization of veils, safe cards, and communication is key. You at any point can exit a scene if it becomes too much. You can also pause the scene if it’s too heavy. There is also a session zero to discuss boundaries and what is ok and what is absolutely not ok. After session, you are welcome to give feedback and to discuss anything. You can also message me at any point in time. The content warnings are there just in case, I do not know if all would show but just in case it does you are aware of it.
