Creating your character

Character Creation Rules: Since we are based on Dungeon Crawler Carl: Starting at Level 1 Roll for stats, reroll any 1 once. Pick any background, If you pick a 2014 background and it doesnt give a feat, add +2/+1 to your pick of ability scores not to exceed 18 The Campaign is on DnD Beyond for character building and you can use whatever is offered to you there. If you want to use something else just ask I dont mind most of the time. If you have a race or class from DCC you want to make i will help you make it and add it to dnd beyond so you can play as it. Like Imani butterfly race or Ellie Ice Fairy. Lets have fun! No Magic Items starting out, You will start with Starting Equipment.

Preparing for the session

Players need a working mic and access to a computer. The game will be held over discord for voice chat and Foundry for vtt, so you will need an account on both. Players will need to make their character sheet ahead of time dndbeyond. BEYOND20 web extension can help you roll from dnd beyond but not required because ill import sheets to foundry and you can use foundry character sheets.

What McClain brings to the table

I work hard to provide a fun experience for all, I use Ambient Sound and amateur voices for the NPCS. I will bring humor to the game as the AI that runs the dungeon and provide ample loot boxes and sponsorships that will bring this game to life. Immersive sessions that will make you feel like you're in the show. Loot boxes, Guest Appearances, and a fun time. So join and KILL KILL KILL!! I am all about Rule of Cool, I like the rules as written but I feel that your ingenuity is much more important to reward than sticking to the rules. I will share all Dungeok Crawler Carl TTRPG content I purchase as it is released.

Homebrew rules

Will discuss during Session Zero and voted on by Players. These consist of Using Potions as a bonus action to get normal affect but as an Action to get full healing. Crit fails and Crit success, which will include NPCs. and others. I have many house rules that give you more healing options so that no one is pressured to be a healer. This can include a Healing Surge which is rolling half your hit die once per long rest to gain back HP plus your con mod x 10. All of these will be voted on during session 0. Hope to see you there

How McClain creates a safe table

Ill provide Lines and Veils so you know what is allowed and what isnt and what players are comfortable with and what we should stay away from. Breaks in session so that you can stretch and grab snacks and have that Potty break. Debriefing so we can see how we all felt after the session along with an open door policy so you can come to me when ever you want about anything. Im all about having fun and if you arent then I need to make sure you do.
