About the adventure

Across the multiverse, worlds are disappearing. An ancient cosmic entity known only as He Who Hungers drifts through existence consuming entire planes of reality. It cannot be killed, reasoned with, or fought directly. Wherever it turns its attention, civilizations vanish. Fortunately, it does not search alone. Cults, heralds, spies, and powerful servants spread across countless worlds, identifying the next targets for their master’s endless appetite. The great powers of the planes have devised a desperate plan: if He Who Hungers cannot be destroyed, it can be trapped. To do so, it must first be blinded. Every servant slain, every scout eliminated, and every network dismantled removes another eye from the Hunger’s vast web of influence. You are part of the strike force tasked with carrying out that mission. This is a science-fantasy adventure inspired by Spelljammer, cosmic horror, and boss-rush style campaigns. Players will travel between distant worlds, strange planes, isolated outposts, and forgotten civilizations hunting powerful targets that serve the Hunger’s grand design. Each destination presents a new environment, new challenges, and a new villain standing between the multiverse and survival. This game is designed for experienced players who enjoy tactical combat, powerful characters, and high-stakes decision making. Expect challenging boss encounters, meaningful preparation, unusual settings, and enemies that require more than simply charging into battle. While exploration and roleplay remain important, the campaign’s focus is on tracking dangerous targets, uncovering their operations, and executing missions that influence the fate of entire worlds. You cannot kill the Hunger. But if you can take away its eyes, perhaps reality can survive long enough to lock it away forever.

About me

Hello! As you can tell by the number of games I have hosted, that I am not new to GMing and in fact have been doing it for 6 years now. Being a GM is an awesome experience where I get to shape a narrative with a group of people in a fun and exciting way. For me personally, creating a welcoming environment for new players and veterans alike, where they start as strangers, and then enjoy each other's company while telling a story together, is unmatched.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

I plan to run this game on Foundry. Players don't need an account. We will be using Discord for voice chat so it is required that players have a mic. If players built a character on D&DBeyond, it is highly recommended that they download the Beyond20 extension. Players do not need prior experience or knowledge of the rules, but it is recommended to have some knowledge and experience. -Build character on D&DBeyond -Install Beyond20 plugin. -Join campaign discord and have working mic

What Franky Von brings to the table

We are playing online, so I will provide digital game components like maps, tokens, etc. If players wish, they can provide an image for me to use for their character portrait and character token. If a player doesn't provide this, I can provide one.

Safety

How Franky Von creates a safe table

We will have a session zero that will go over everyone's expectations and desires for the campaign. We'll touch on what to expect as well as things to avoid. If for any reason a player needs to step away or remove themselves, we will be utilizing the safety measures of Open Door and X, N, & O Cards. Open Door is simply to empower the player to step away and rejoin (or leave if necessary) whenever they need to for any reason, no questions asked. X, N, & O Cards function as an indicators to me (the GM) when subject matter arises which causes discomfort to the point it disrupts your experience, you can utilized X, N, & O in the following ways: X: Place an X in the chat to let me know you are uncomfortable with the current content, often resulting in a change, rewind, or skip of the aforementioned content. N: Placing an N in the chat lets me know that you feel the content is heading towards an X card, often resulting in a change or a “fade to back”. O: An O in the chat is a check-in card, where I will stop and check with the entire group to ensure that everyone is comfortable continuing with the content.
