About the adventure

The setting is your standard high fantasy DnD setting. Great for new players or vets! Travel the world, unlock its secrets, and be the Hero's that Eryndor needs! This game is favored for both roleplayers and action packed fights, and challenges that'll scratch your brain alike! A fairly level spread of each of them but one rule trumps them all. The rule of cool! Were here to have fun and play game and tell a story together, so let's tell it! Wether your brand new to the game itself, or someone who's been playing for years, if you like the aspect of DnD that centers around character growth, and discovery. This is EXACTLY the type of game for you!

About me

My name is Dylan, I'm 27 years old, and ive been playing TTRPGs for the past ten years. I've always loved DMing. I've been a forever DM since I've started playing because it was the only way to get friends to try it with me. I'm laid back, I like focusing on the Fun of the game, getting into character, telling a story with the groups I play with, and above all, I just wanna have a goofy time with good people.

we will all make characters together in roll20 during session 0. stats will be rolled. Your starting level will be 3, and no slecial books are needed.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

I use discord and roll20 for my games. So add me on Discord @JumbaWubba and make sure you have a Roll20 account i csn send the link to. Other then that, just bring yourself and your creativity!

What Dylan brings to the table

I prefer to embrace the rule of cool above SOME things. For the most part i will stick to rules as written, but if you express how you want to use a spell, weapon, or ability in a way thats fun, crestive, smart or sometimes, dumb, chances are i may let you do it do long as it doesnt hinderyour party and everyones ok with it. I provide a safe enviroment and a space thats fun and welcoming to ALL players of all skill levels. I do run combat. This campaign specifically will be having a lot of high intensity combat in some places, lots of opportunity to roleplay and interact with the world around you, and of course, have fun! You csn expect me to be fair, be fun, and allow your creativity to flow, with maybe some gentle guidelines and suggestion along the way. I love to use a lot of Ambient music and voices to try and make my workds feel alive. I want to create a world you csn be lostcin, and just for a moment think to yourself "wow im actually here".

Homebrew rules

Here is a couple homebrew rules i use. Crits: for crits, if you land a hit, you deal max damage with all modifiers x2. I use this because too often i see players (as well as myself) crit a monster, get SO excited about it, then on my 2d8 roll, i get a 1 and a 3. To me? A crit should have weight and feel powerful. So thats the reason. Homebrew Rule 1: Flanking Flanking gives you a +2 to hit a flanked creature instead of Advantage. Death Saves: Death Saves are between the DM and the dying player. They are hidden from the rest of the party. Inspiration: you are given 1 Inspiration per player when the campaign begins, and 1 Inspiration each session UP TO twice the amount of players before being capped.

Safety

How Dylan creates a safe table

Your safety and comfort at the table are my top priorities. I want everyone to feel welcome, respected, and able to enjoy the game without stress. Session 0: Before the campaign begins, we’ll hold a Session 0 to go over expectations, tone, table etiquette, and safety tools. This is also where we’ll make sure everyone’s character ideas fit the world and each other. Lines & Veils: I’ll provide a digital document where players can note their personal red lines (hard no’s) and veils (fade-to-black subjects). These are confidential, and I’ll adjust the game to respect them. X, N, & O Cards: We’ll use a digital system (or chat messages, if preferred) for safety signals during play: X = Stop immediately, content is not okay. N = I’m not comfortable, please change direction. O = I’m good, keep going. At the end of each session, we’ll do a short check-in to make sure everyone’s leaving the table in a good place. If a scene was heavy, I’ll make space for debriefing or lighter roleplay before we wrap. My goal is to make Race to the last Beacon an inclusive, collaborative, and safe space where players can explore, take risks, and shine as heroes without worrying about their comfort being compromised.
