About the adventure

"That unapparent summer air in early fall, The quiet comprehending of the ending of it all." That Funny Feeling, Bo Burnham, Inside (2021) 🎰 𝕎𝔼𝕃ℂ𝕆𝕄𝔼 𝕋𝕆 𝔽𝔸𝔹𝕌𝕃𝕆𝕌𝕊 𝕃𝔸𝕊 𝕍𝔼𝔾𝔸𝕊 ℕ𝔼𝕍𝔸𝔻𝔸 🎰 The Wyld West is over. All that remains of the feral freedoms and the feral fear of the frontier is the city of Las Vegas. If anywhere could ever belong to all of the Trait, it's here: Sin City. The sights. The sounds. The magic of the city - the wyld of it all. The possibility. The life and the lusts. People come here with their hopes in their hands and their dreams in the dice. But chance only goes so far, and the web stretches across this desert city. Chance is possibility - but probability is a system, and systems belong to the whim of the Weaver. And at the end of the night, when the money is gone and so is your buzz, when the sun cracks over a city of fleeting hopes? That is of the Wyrm - the end result of too much time spent in Vegas. And all around the city, the scars of nuclear testing remain, and the plains and hills and mountains of Nevada all call to the Black Spiral Dancers in some way, shape, or form. With the dark pit of 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝟱𝟭 only a scant 100 miles away, bane spirits and fomori flow freely - and towards the light on the horizon. The Sept of 𝗚𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗮𝗶𝗮, the only Caern around, searches for new packs to help defend it against the daily deluge it faces - the Glass Walkers and Bone Gnawers of the city can only do so much. The grip of Wyrm and Weaver tighten across Vegas as more and more people lose their lives, both at the poker tables and on blood-soaked streets. But the worst is yet to come - 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐃𝐨𝐠 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 is holding another of their annual conventions, and with it comes a heavier influx of bane spirits and Wyrm aligned malcontents, eager to feed on the dead and dying dreams here in Sin City. You are garou newly tasked with defending this city, this sept, this caern against the desperate, the damned, and the high rollers - and what happens in Vegas 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙮𝙨 in Vegas. 𝐄𝐧𝐣𝐨𝐲 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐲!

About me

Hey there! I'm 𝐒𝐲𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐨𝐧, proprietor of Moonlight Drive-In Theater, your number one stop for pulpy fun tabletop games! I hope you brought your 3D glasses. I was born in a cave, shackled to an old CRT television and forced to watch the worst schlock humanity could ever create. This has turned me into a mad scientist of genre. Really, though: I've been playing RPGs for around 15 years now. I cut my teeth on forum based, systemless roleplaying that I was eternally dissatisifed with, for it lacked that certain risk. That risk being dice! If I wanted to write, I would, and I do! But within the collaborative world of roleplaying on a tabletop, it's not enough to just say what happens! It's gotta be OUT of your hands - like a die tumbling on the table, cocked against some dorito crumb and just barely giving you that 20. My journey started with Pathfinder 1e with friends, then did a hard shift into GURPS. A smattering of other systems made their way onto our table before we settled on 5e, playing that before coming full circle with Pathfinder 2e. Homecoming! While I appreciate systems and mechanics, my background as such has given me a strong narrative-bent to my Game Mastering. I love stories and I love characters more than I love critical hits (though those also slap immensely.) The collaborative nature of TTRPGs is something that genuinely cannot be replicated elsewhere, and I want to share that joy with my players and my fellow Game Masters.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

A discord account and a decent microphone set up is all I ask. I do NOT require you to voice your character if you don't want to - you can speak in your normal voice or even describe what your character is talking about. What I DO ask is that you have a strong idea of who you are playing. I love characters and I respond the most to folks who have a good idea of who they are.

What Moonlight Drive-In brings to the table

🌈 Inclusive space where you are free to be yourself! 💬 Discord filled with game & narrative content! 📖 W20 Rulebook and Splats-on-Demand! 🧍 HeroForged NPCs and potentially PCs if you all want. 🗺️ Dynamic, living & breathing setting and characters that will change and operate with and without your input. 🎙️ I'll be utilizing my minor talents as a voice actor. 🎶 I'll be including music, sound effects, whatever I can to truly immerse you into the setting.

Safety

How Moonlight Drive-In creates a safe table

Werewolf, like many WoD games, features a large amount of hard and political topics. Consider the listed triggers as the most likely to come up in-game. Certain themes are core to Werewolf, such as industrialized destruction of wilderness and people, corporate corruption of systems meant to help, etc. We'll have a Session 0 to go over HARD NOs for the players. The setting may be dark, but that doesn't mean you have to have a bad time playing in it.
