About the adventure

*Touchstones: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Secret of Mana, Attack on Titan, Equilibrium, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword* The City of Harmonia sits upon an island in the sky, above an eternal, black storm that blankets the surface world. The island rose over 300 years ago, and none but the Covenant of Stillness seem to know why. The city believes the Cataclysm was caused by sentient emotion run rampant, a disruption of the Aether Web so violent that it drove civilization mad, forcing them all to attack and consume each other. This Cataclysm is said to have turned most of the sentient beings in the world into Husks. These shriveled, unkillable, zombie-like beings seem to hunger for emotion rather than flesh. No one knows what being caught by one does, because no one's ever survived. *Koshtam, Rhys, Cereth...* Thankfully, the Resonite keeps them away from the city, away from the walls. The Covenant credits the Resonite for Harmonia's rise into the sky, above the corrupted world below. The Resonite Towers serve a dual purpose: they help regulate spikes of emotion to avoid a second Cataclysm, and they keep the Husks away from the walls. *Gedda, Nath, Solvari...* Harmonia is the only safe place on the island, and so the island is largely unexplored. No one ventures outside the walls, because no one can survive the onslaught of the Husks. The entirety of the sentient species in the world are relegated to this one city, in this one corner of the one island that managed to rise above the storm. *Aria, Thanatun, Veyra...* You begin as agents of the Vesper Chain, Harmonia's law enforcement agency. Your job is twofold: uphold the values of the Covenant of Stillness, but also provide comfort and reassurance to the people of the city. Where you go from there is your choice. You will discover more about the Covenant of Stillness as doubt begins to spread among the populace and you realize that all is not as it seems. When you dig deeper, you will begin discovering the secret of the island, the secrets of the world. The Secret of Harmonia. ### Unique Features: - Fully fleshed-out, already-constructed world mystery ala Clair Obscur - Voice acted audio logs called Chimeglass Orbs in the style of Clair Obscur's Expedition Journals - Key item based level progression system (this means character levels CAN be uneven at times) - Key item based gear augmentation system - Unique, lovingly crafted NPCs with their own stories, and a built-in relationship system that rewards you for interacting with the NPCs you enjoy

About me

Twice-published fantasy author, AVN dev, and Twitch streamer with a love for tabletop systems and collaborative storytelling. 25 years of writing experience. Featured in this episode of All Things D&D: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=naGkvPH1ino My main goal in TTRPGs is to make you FEEL something. I want to string your heartstrings across the harp of my storytelling and carefully pluck and strum to create an emotional experience you'll remember for years. I started DMing D&D 5th Edition because I thought it would help me flex my writing skills, and boy was I right. Players always keep me on my toes and thwart my plans, and I love to roll with the punches and encourage creativity! I'm a very Rule of Cool DM, and though I do tend to stick pretty close to the rules as written for consistency, sometimes the curiosity gets the better of me when a player has an amazingly creative or hilarious idea. I love intelligent villains, compelling monologues, and inspiring dread in my players. I've been told my writing, especially the things I write into campaigns that utilize character backstories, is extremely emotional and compelling. I prefer to run Daggerheart and BREAK!! RPG, and am currently developing a supplement for my book series, The Riftkey Chronicles, so that people can play in the world of my books eventually.

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters will be created on Demiplane using the Drakkenheim Campaign Frame, specifically for the Contamination mechanic. I'll add each of you to my content sharing so you have access to all options. I'll likely sit in a Discord call with each of you individually while we discuss what kind of character you want to run, or if two of your characters know each other before the events of the story take place, we can do a group call.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need: - A Discord account - A Demiplane account - An Owlbear.rodeo account - A good mic (be sure to use Krisp noise suppression on Discord)

What VictorSeven/ Miles Tigard brings to the table

I am a high-immersion GM. I've commissioned and composed music specifically for this world, and had maps made as well. Almost zero Theater of the Mind; there should almost always be something visual on the screen to look at. I LOVE writing characters. My games include a bit of voice acting as we RP the scenes, though just because I do it doesn't mean you have to. All fights will be meaningful (not really a fan of random encounters) and there will be tons of breadcrumbs and foreshadowing for future events or consequences.
