About the adventure
😈 Three hundred years ago, the gods turned their backs on Alon and in the silence they left behind, hell answered. Devils and demons spilled across the land, twisting it into their playground of ruin. Cities burned, kingdoms shattered, and what little survived did so in hiding. But as quickly as they came, the fiends left. No great war drove them out. No divine hand cast them away. They simply left after they realized it was no longer fun to continue breaking what was already broken. Now, Alon is a wasteland of rot and monsters where the marks of hell’s passing have never truly healed. ✨But even this devastation was only the beginning. A strange new mineral known as Æther has begun appearing across Alon. It hums with impossible promise, capable of reshaping broken societies and powering weapons to fight the monsters still roaming. Wealth, power, and restoration, all of it suddenly within reach for those willing to risk seeking it out. A risk needing to be taken because recently wherever Æther is left untouched for too long, something wakes. 🧟The fallen rise in scattered hordes, unbidden, unbound, and growing in number. No curse has been claimed. No necromancer has stepped forward. There is no master to strike down. Only the slow, creeping realization that something in the world itself is waking up wrong.

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hey friends! I'm Rollin, a passionate and experienced TTRPG Game Master with a love for storytelling and a talent for creating immersive game worlds. I'm actually named after my dad's D&D character, and my own journey with TTRPGs began when I was 9 years old and played 2nd edition D&D with my dad. Since then, I have played and learned at least some of every edition. My games are roleplay-heavy, with a focus on character development and storytelling. However, I also enjoy throwing in some dungeon crawls and epic battles to keep the players on their toes, after all who doesn't want to blow things up? Whatever the scenario, I always focus on creating an inclusive and welcoming space for all players to feel comfortable, respected, and free to express themselves. In addition to Dungeons and Dragons, I have played and loved many other TTRPGs, including All Flesh Must Be Eaten, Pathfinder, and Star Wars. I'm always willing to learn new systems and run games for players who are passionate about different games.

Creating your character
Characters will begin at level 3. We can create characters together in session. All pre 2024 content allowed, other than that no species or class restriction.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need both a Discord and Forge account. Sessions will be run through a combination of Discord and Foundry Virtual Table Top (on Forge). A microphone is required for the voice chat on Discord. Foundry VTT is where dice rolls and combat will take place. Forge: https://forge-vtt.com/
What Rollin Frank brings to the table
All 2014 books on D&D Beyond will be available to players. I create custom MidJourney artwork and tokens for all NPCs (named and generic) and for PCs that request it. I have several Foundry mods that make the game unique. I also offer years of gaming and improv experience that help make my campaigns immersive.
Homebrew rules
Homebrew Rules I Always Use: Healing Potions can be used as a bonus action to heal self for rolled amount or a standard action for max possible amount. Death Saves are made Private (Only GM and Player see result) or Blind (Only GM sees result) to keep other party members immersed in the risk of losing a companion. Homebrew Rule I Take a Vote On: Exhaustion when reduced to 0 Hit Points.
