About the adventure
The world ended without prophecy, without warning, and without heroes. When the undead swept across Eldrathion, kingdoms collapsed in weeks. Cities burned, ancient orders vanished, and the gods themselves fell silent. What remains of civilization now survives behind crumbling walls, scattered caravans, and isolated strongholds surrounded by death. Beyond those fragile pockets of safety lies the World Wound β a festering scar upon the land where the dead refuse to stay buried and something far worse stirs beneath the ruins. The End is a dark fantasy survival-horror campaign inspired by Fallout, The Last of Us, Metro, Dark Souls, and Outbreak: Undead. This is not a story about saving the world. The apocalypse has already happened. This is a story about survival. Players will: π² Scavenge ruined cities and forgotten strongholds π² Protect vulnerable communities from undead hordes π² Navigate dangerous factions fighting over dwindling resources π² Make impossible moral choices where survival often comes at a cost π² Build alliances, uncover conspiracies, and decide what kind of future deserves to survive Every expedition beyond safe walls is dangerous. Supplies are limited, trust is fragile, and death is always close behind. Even small victories can determine whether a settlement survives another week. This campaign places a heavy emphasis on: π² Roleplay and character-driven storytelling π² Survival tension and resource management π² Exploration and horror atmosphere π² Meaningful player choice π² Collaborative storytelling and emotional investment While the world is dark and unforgiving, the table itself is welcoming and inclusive. I strive to create a beginner-friendly, LGBTQIA+ affirming environment where players can immerse themselves in intense storytelling while still feeling safe, respected, and supported. Please Note: This is a mature dark fantasy horror campaign featuring undead horror, violence, survival themes, desperation, and psychological tension. Safety tools and player comfort are important priorities at this table, and boundaries will always be respected.

About me
The GM with an infectious laugh, more dad jokes than you can handle, and a love for storytelling. I have been playing TTRPGs for about 18 years now and GMing for 16 of them. Since my days as a theatre kid in high school to now as an elementary school counselor, D&D and Pathfinder have always been a part of my life. I tend to write homebrew campaigns and homebrew worlds in which the players can truly have an impact on the overarching world in little to large scopes. I believe in player agency while also ensuring the comfort and enjoyment of all at my table. My goal is to create stories together that bring a spark of excitement and joy to your heart and eyes! I will always ensure that my Discord community and my sessions are a place of love, acceptance, and enjoyment. I heavily prioritize the safety of my players. This is a LGBTQ+ and allies safe space! Let's go on an adventure!
View Profile βCharacter creation
Creating your character
We will use session zero to plan out our characters and where I can answer any burning questions you might have prior to session one. You can come with a fully fledged out character or no idea at all. We will start with level 2 characters. I will also share mechanics imported from Outbreak: Undead prior to session 0 that will be pertinent to character creation. Gunslingers are allowed!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please have a Discord account, Roll20 Account, and D&DBeyond account You will have access to a discord server to collaborate with other players from different campaigns in the same world and share stories!
What GM Charles brings to the table
I utilize music from Monument Studios to set the tone and include ambience sound effects. Even without combat players are encouraged to be on Roll20 to hear music and effects. Roll20 is utilized for gripping and scenes and combat! I provide fresh voices for each NPC you may encounter. I embrace Rule of Cool when I can. I fully incorporate character backstories into campaign even if it requires rewriting scenes and villains. Be prepared for emotional roleplaying and heartpounding moments
Homebrew rules
Most homebrew rules will be discussed during session zero and are mentioned on the Discord Server. Key Homebrew Rules are: - Potions are a bonus action but can be used as an action for full benefit - Death saves made privately between GM and Player - Magical Exhaustion (casters can continue to cast spells when out of spell slots at the cost of points of exhaustion - Critical Hits are max damage on dice plus an extra roll of damage dice -There will also be a Corruption Scale Homebrew when traveling within the World Wound

How GM Charles creates a safe table
I send out a request to each player for their list of Lines and Veils that is completed anonymously. Afterwards I share a document that everyone has access to at all times. I also do my best to incorporate a short break half way through a session. After each session I send out a following message asking for stars and wishes that can be anonymous or not as this gives me the ability to modify my gming and future sessions to best fit the party as a whole.
