About the adventure

Lost Mine of Phandelver Homebrew A wagon rattles along the Triboar Trail. Supplies bound for the frontier town of Phandalin. A simple job… or so it seems. Your adventure begins with the classic Dungeons & Dragons campaign Lost Mine of Phandelver, one of the most beloved adventures in the game’s history. But this is only the beginning. During the events of Phandalin, the world will open into player central quests to explore backstories. The First Chapter: Lost Mine of Phandelver You are hired by the dwarf Gundren Rockseeker to escort supplies to the frontier settlement of Phandalin. What begins as a simple job quickly spirals into a mystery involving missing dwarves, goblin ambushes, ancient magic, and a long-lost mine whose power could change the region forever. This opening arc introduces the party, builds your character’s story, and lays the foundation player experience. Expect exploration, dangerous dungeons, memorable NPCs, and moments where heroism, or failure, will ripple outward. What To Expect • A strong narrative follow with the base as Lost Mine of Phandelver • A player-driven backstory tie-in experience • A living world with lore, events, and evolving storylines • Challenging combat, exploration, and mystery Table Style I aim to run an immersive, cinematic games with a focus on roleplay, meaningful choices, and collaborative storytelling. Combat can be tactical, intense, and exciting, but the heart of the game is the story we create together. Who This Game Is For • New players wanting to experience a classic adventure • Veterans looking for a early to mid-game experience • Players who enjoy roleplay and character-driven stories

About me

Hello, everyone! I have run several games spanning about 5 years and ranging from DnD5e/5.5e to homemade TTRPGs with my family, friends, and kids. I have never found a medium quite like TTRPGs and believe it is the ultimate storytelling and gaming experience that's out there. The way it can bring together folks from all walks of life to tell a story unique, interesting, fun and heartbreaking all at once is nothing less than narrative magic. I hope to bring my character central gameplay to those interested in a story focused environment where we can experience the magic DnD has to offer. Options for Family friendly environment available as well. Your first session with me is free! Please message me to secure your free session.

Character creation

Creating your character

A free session zero will be the place to work through character building, outlook, backstory, etc. Feel free to prepare ideas and character sheet before hand. I am happy to help with character concept, refinement, and mechanics that may be unique to my table. I would love to have backstories that attach your character to the world so please send the novel or we can make one during session zero. Starting Level: 1 Stat Generation: Standard Array or Point Buy Hit Points: Max at level 1, fixed average after (Use DnD Beyond's given health) Books Allowed: 5.5e Content, All official 5e content subject to approval. Character Sheets: Created and managed in DnD Beyond. When finalizing your characters, we will do our best to set expectations of where you want your character to go story and build wise. This will help me tie your character into the world and give each player special moments to shine.

What Killiyan brings to the table

As a GM, it is my job to ensure that you are enjoying the game as a whole. With the structure of the rules as a guide and the freedom of leaning into Rule of Cool if necessary, I attempt to create engaging and satisfying gameplay. I typically run a more serious game, but laughter and humor have a firm place no matter the stakes of the world. Sometimes you will trip and fall on your face, and it will be hilarious. Key Points: -Roleplay is needed to experience the game to its fullest. Whether you explain your characters actions in third-person, voice a line or two here and there, or come complete with a special voice and character accurate quips, it is all accepted and encouraged. -Combat will feel dangerous and threatening most of the time with later levels having chances of being "EZPZ". Strategy has its place but active combat is quick; 6 seconds of time translated into 1 round of turns. There's no time to ask your party what to do once combat is rolling! Logistics: We will run our game on Roll20 and DnD Beyond. Discussion will be had in Session 0 on topics such as attendance, character creation, and more. Storybased Milestone leveling | Ambient Music | Player Story | Intense Combat | Theatre of the Mind + Battle Maps

Safety

How Killiyan creates a safe table

Every session will have allotted times to discuss things in the Stars and Wishes format as well as any outright concerns. This will be before and after the session. If concerns arise mid-session, each player is able to request a break to discuss, reach out through private player channels, or voice concerns in the campaign chat; all without scrutiny. I will do my best to create an enjoyable environment that is both thrilling and irl safe. Feedback is strongly encouraged!
