About the adventure

Deep beneath the surface lies a world of endless caverns, alien cities, and ancient horrors an entire realm untouched by sunlight and ruled by creatures older than mortal memory. But something far worse has begun to stir in the dark. Demonlords, torn from the Abyss and hurled into the Underdark, are spreading madness like a plague, twisting the land and its people into reflections of their own chaos. This is a story about survival, discovery, and the terrifying truth of what happens when the Abyss refuses to stay in its own plane. This campaign is for players who love dark fantasy, mystery, and epic stakes. You’ll explore strange civilizations, forge uneasy alliances, and face threats that can’t always be solved with a sword. Expect a blend of horror‑tinged exploration, tense social encounters, and moments of desperate heroism as your characters fight to keep their sanity and their souls intact. Whether you’re new to D&D or a seasoned adventurer, the focus is on immersive storytelling, memorable characters, and choices that shape the fate of the world above.

About me

I am in my mid-thirties, father of four, and enjoy both outdoor adventuring and for last four years have thoroughly enjoyed being a DM/GM for in person and live sessions and in last 6 months online. I really only have experience in 5e. so this would be the system I will be using. I enjoy prepping for sessions and doing my best to integrate backstory arcs and other side notes. Running Pbp for those with busy schedules who cannot commit to dedicated blocked hours.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation starts in your mind, and can be aided with told on Dndbeyond, once in campaign, create an character using the easy step by step system. Any help required of course i will assist. But, I have several shared books, and always open to your ideas.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will require only a mobile device, with discord and dndbeyond (both free). That is everything you need. Then its just building your character.

What Crowley brings to the table

I enjoy building worlds adding and experimenting with official modules to make them a deper richer experience. This is asynchronous Pbp to enable those who cannot commit to a few hour block each week, all you need to do is ideally minimum couple posts a day to keep the story flowing. However, the more you post the more you will get out of it as, I will post as regularly as required :). I like to fleshout NPC's making them more memorable and distinct and I am a descriptive writer. With added tools in Discord can easily distinguish which NPC is talking.
