About me

About Me Hi, I’m Gavin, a relatively new but enthusiastic Dungeon Master. I love creating fun, character-driven adventures where players can explore, roleplay, and collaborate with a bunch of combat as well. Whether you’re new to D&D or a seasoned player, I aim to craft a welcoming and exciting experience for all. Let’s roll some dice and tell an epic story together!

Character creation

Creating your character

Players will create a Level 1 character on D&D Beyond using the 2024 D&D rules prior to Session 1. Ability scores will use the Point Buy system. I’m happy to help with character creation, backstories, and tying your character into the campaign before the game begins. Perhaps your characters already shares a connection to the Infinite Staircase whether it's strange dreams, impossible relics, unanswered wishes, or mysterious doorways that should not exist. Whatever brought you here, the Staircase has opened its doors for a reason.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Games will use DnD Beyond so having a free account is necessary for that. Voice Chat will be hosted in discord so a decent internet connection and a working microphone and headset is also required.

What Gavin brings to the table

I enjoy weaving character backstories into the campaign to create personal stakes, memorable moments, and meaningful connections to the world around you. I use music, atmosphere, and character voices to help bring each adventure to life and create an immersive experience at the table. My games balance roleplay, exploration, and combat, with a focus on teamwork, creativity, and collaborative storytelling. While I generally stick to the rules, I also believe in rewarding clever ideas and cinematic moments. If something is cool and works with the story I’m always happy to work with players to make it happen. Above all, I aim to create a welcoming, safe, and engaging environment where players of all experience levels can enjoy Dungeons & Dragons together.
